Hermansen

Woyo - Faes (!) - Okoli - Kristiansen

Ndidi - Soumare

Facundo - Bilal - Mavididi

Vardy

On the basis RVN doesn't veer from the only thing he knows (4-2-3-1), that's the best team we can put out right now.

We need goals and therefore we need quicker players in attack. If we have to bring on Ayew and Reid in the 2nd half but let's try and at least start fast from the off. If you're a full back and you see the OAPs starting, you're already thinking you've got a decent game ahead of you.

Up against a pacier LW and a skilful RW at least gives them something different to think about.

I'd hope Ndidi and Soumare continue to link well.

As for Faes, the lack of alternatives is alarming.

Nailed it. It should be as this

If Justin is fit I'd put him in at LB apart from that this is the best team we can put out.

4-2-3-1 with Ayew & BCR in the side is a defensive setup and hence we don't score enough goals.

Only time we should Start Ayew is if we move to a 3-5-2 but RVN won't do that.

Any team with Mavividi in WILL lose, he has one step over, loses the ball and then watches like the first goal Saturday. Still baffled why anyone thinks he is the answer to any problem. He’s on the bench for a reason.

Sod it - give the young lads a go.

We’re going to lose so may as well give experience to Evans than see Ayew or BDR anywhere near the side.

Mads

Woyo

Okoli

Faes

VK

JJ (Thomas if not fit)

Ndidi

Bilal

Facundo

Evans

Vardy

We can’t keep a clean sheet so just go and try and score 3/4.

Ruud will stick to largely the same lineup and the exact same formation for this.

Maybe one of the wingers will get swapped but I can’t see it.

True. But he's the only fit winger with pace to cause defences problems.

At home we have to gamble a little and try to create more chances to score.

He’s going to make us much much weaker defensively that’s the problem, I don’t think he offers enough going forward, we need players giving 100% which he doesn’t. I couldn’t really fault the players at the weekend tbf. As soon as we changed it ‘up’ we lost.

Absolute definition of a confidence player. The season has absolutely pummelled him, in and out the side, couple of missed chances and now Ayew and BDR are ahead of him. I'd probably still start him over Ayew but he desperately needs a performance (and to get those shorts adjusted).

But Ayew isn't doing much either!

We're conceding at a stupid rate regardless. I think Mavididi given game time can at least make defenders think twice about how forward they push. Ayew is ridiculously easy to play against.

Soumare 😂😂Still picking him 😂😂😂

He’s not been good enough for us for 3 seasons, yet somehow now he’s the first name on the team sheet.

Amazing squad planning by the club :frusty:

TBF to Ruud, it’s either Soumare, Choudhury, Skipp, or Winks to partner Ndidi. Not a great selection of options.

Be very surprised if it’s Choudhury

Got to win this right?

Definition of must win?

That boat has long since sailed !

We're now into "If we win, and two other results go for us, the odds on us to get relegated might shorten by 1%" territory

Must win games aren’t the time to play a guy feeling sorry for himself. He’s weak mentality we can’t carry him and his mistakes, we need 11 players. For me Ayew is marginally better physically especially the last game, which should by worrying for Mavividi. He seems more worried about his hair.

The ball will be given away too much. He’s never a Premier League player for me.

He’s done marginally more than Mavividi this year, he’s won us a game and got a point. The last game Ayew was decent as soon as Mavividi came on we conceded. How he’s playing at the moment I’m not sure Mavividi makes opposition defenders think about much. If he starts we lose he’s that bad. We will probably lose anyway but we might keep it tighter for a while with him benched.

Shows the state of the squad really, people calling for absolute dogshit to replace dog shit

Name a better player at adjusting their shorts mid passage of play?

This is where we’re at Ayew and Bobby Reid as the undroppable starters of a slow turgid strike force.

The same formation, we’ll concede and struggle to score. Another loss. It’s just rinse and repeat.

I'm disappointed in Mavididi,  He hasn't kicked on this season. I was expecting to see him continue from last season even though the opposition would be better.

But he hasn't. When he does get to play he goes on solo runs too often instead of involving others in progressing the ball up the Pitch.

He needs to work harder at his game which we haven't seen any evidence of. Bilal has more skill in his little toe. Mav could learn a lot from him.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying him down the middle though,  Where defenders might be afraid to tackle him. Or even on the right where he can cut inside also.

However until we get Ricardo back to help ot throw in a couple of the young players it's hard to see where the next win will come from.
