I caught the tail end of the Pleat 'administration' and witnessed a pretty toxic Filbo.

It was ugly down there at that point, before Little came in and made things hopeful.

I've also seen the end the O'Niell era leading into Levein and negative Meg.

What's the worst it's been for you all?

The Pleat era is also when I started taking more of an interest in football.

It's been worse than now plenty of times, but we have to look at where we've got to compared to back then which makes now a more bitter pill to swallow.

2001/02 was horrific. Anyone remember signing Jacob Laursen to 'strengthen' our defence??

This feels different though, seems most are apathetic which is worse than being enraged. At least in 2002 the ownership was gone within a year (albeit due to administration), but then it took us years to recover from that.

2001/02 we lost at home- 5-0 Bolton, 4-0 Southampton and 3-0 Derby (who also got relegated with us). Also 6-0 at home to Leeds in the league cup? I'm sure there's most results people could mention.

Been going down 44 years, This is awful. I left as soon as the 3rd went in, having reluctantly decided to return to my seat after the second. Never have considered leaving a game so early… on this occasion, it was a straightforward necessity. The club is being ruined by incompetence. Fans put their heart and soul into supporting our club, although it’s reached the point where for our own well-being, we have to make choices. I never want to miss a game, although right now, I can’t watch them. It’s an abomination and until the club gets competent operators, it will only get worse. Change is long overdue and now imperative to save the club from the abyss

This is the worst for me. Supported since i was 6 or 7 (MON days) but context or what I can perceive or remember this is the most soulless. All subjective though isn't it. I mean at least we tried to change the game with Skipp coming on.

You watch a typical premier league game of football and you might see in a 90 minute period a couple of brain farts by either team, a miss kick or two.

our team this is happening literally every other minute.  The competency on show from Leicester for the money they are being paid is borderline criminal.

This isn’t the worst team we’ve ever had, but this the worst team we’ve had in respect of the division we are in.

Ill say it now, if half of these players trot out in the Championship for us next season, we are doing a double relegation, these players are that bad.

This season is the worse PL season I’ve seen. Thankfully just missed 01/02 but I imagine that would be up there for some.

But I was at Stoke when we were relegated to the third tier and at that point it felt like nothing was ever going to get better.

Some abject games during 03/04. Chelsea battered us and the Villa game that I mentioned in the match thread got particularly protest’ey with the free mags given out and the pitch invader. I imagine every relegation season seems as embarrassing and as bad as the last one. Never nice things to be apart of. This one however feels the one where we’ve been most out of our depth. This club and team don’t deserve to be in this division. We’re simply not good enough.

This feels like a 1994 level of unpreparedness for the top flight.

And that's a criminally low bar to currently be ducking under.

The thing is, the 1994 lot tried.  They were bad, but at least they had a crack at it for the most part.  I’ve got no issue with being relegated but leaving everything on the pitch.

when your relegated and seemingly no one at the club gives a shit playing staff or otherwise, your club is in a huge downward spiral mess.

if Top doesn’t sell or at least shake up everything underneath him, this ends up as a similar shit show that our neighbours had down the m69 a decade ago

But maybe something like that just needs to happen to force the issue.

I mean, we don’t have the full set yet, we still need the johnstones paint trophy or whatever it’s called these days so let’s crack on

We are certainly on track for our worst top flight season ever. I think the thing that is hurting me the most this season is that we could quite easily be sat comfortably in 12th. But with the all round poor decisions that have been made the task of staying up has been made a lot harder than it should be. Another problem of this season is that our recent premier league times before relegation were amazing and a lot of people are still expecting that.

For me, worst season ever was 07/08 and the 05/06 & 06/07 seasons that lead up to it were the catalysts for that and we saw some pretty turgid stuff.

Nothing will beat 07/08 for me, but in terms of an unlikeable squad, this current one is definitely in my top 3 over my lifetime.

I’ve only been going since the O’Neill days, but this is the worst I’ve known it.

It may be the passing of time, but you could almost excuse previous shit teams. We’ve gone from underdogs to being dopey fat cats.

Brentford’s wage bill will be considerably less than ours.
