I know they were putting themselves i. The ‘shop window’, but Nicky Summerbee and Billy McKinlay playing for free showed so much more respect and passion for the shirt 😢🦊

The attitude in the camp is going to be low when, since Newcastle away, they have been sent out for certain defeat every single week. It can't be pleasant to be stood on the pitch knowing all your inadequacies are laid out bare by the manager and zero tools to mitigate that

 

Prior to that was Cooper. Who the players simply didn't rate. It's no different to a workplace where an incompetent line manager can destroy a departmental structure.

It is likely that the bottom 3 will become the worst bottom 3 in Premier League history with a combined points total of 43 points and needing more than half that again from the last ten games to beat last year's record low of 66 points.

Interestingly the McLintock side of 1977/78 managed to keep 12 clean sheets in the league. Admittedly it was little use in the end, but you can't see us keeping one clean sheet at the moment.

I think we're on the longest run in any team in the top 4 English leagues without scoring a league goal (5) games. Apparently our club record is 7 in 1988 in the league. So with Man Utd and City next, likely we match that.

We could break the majority of our negative top flight records this season. It cant be that bad as we were in league one once though!

In the last five games, the bottom three have managed a combined 14 defeats and 1 draw (Ipswich).  There comes a tome when you just have to laugh.

You have to put into the perspective of the fees and wages we are paying, the money spent on Seagrave and 100% this is the worst team of all.

The recruitment has been inept and sums up the whole club at the moment.

If you take Vardy out of this team(As we all agree he shouldn't be tarnishing his career with us playing with these d1cks) there isnt a player apart from Mads who is Premier league standard.

Only Mads would have clubs after him in the Prem.

I mean we are in a self inflicted mess, we should now be part of the untouchable elite, like mighty Bournemouth and Brentford, tiny clubs in comparison, well run, without failing PSR. 

 

The Premier League as a product though appears to be broken, I am not sure how any championship team bridges that gap, this years top 3 are atrocious by Championship terms, and spending money like Ipswich isn't the only answer. To be honest I hope the whole corrupt shower of shit come crashing down, its hateful.

It is surely the worst by quite a comfortable distance and I'd say it's worse than the majority of our second tier sides too. Without an overhaul I am starting to really believe the struggles in the Championship shouts aren't all that hyperbolic. Don't forget we spent the last third of 2023/24 playing like a bottom half Championship side, and in all honesty, we haven't really stopped at any point since then.

100%. Given the wages and transfer fees paid, this is comfortably our worst team in my lifetime. We've had worse players and have been in lower divisions but normally when we've been bad it's been because we have no money rather than being a complete shambles like we are now. There is no excuse for how pathetic we've been this season. Utterly disgusting!
