I think Savage is a bit underrated now. Always talked down. But a mainstay in a really successful period for us so couldn't have been that bad.

Looking back at some of the goals from that era too, some of his assists were good quality.

Also one cannot ignore how much he annoyed the opposition players and fans.

Matt Elliott - Scotland

Certainly the best in my lifetime

Before my time so one for the older generation to clarify but I would imagine Gary McAllister has to be up there. I caught the back end of his career and he was still class then, so during his prime he must have been superb. I think aside from the CL he’s won everything as well.

But during my time I would go with Elliott, then probably Dickov.

Sav did a good job for the team. But nowhere near as good as King technically.

Didn't really need to be for his role though. We're obviously not comparing like for like and we're talking quite different eras.

But Sav was a solid upper mid table Premier League destroyer/disruptor that's played about 350 top flight games.

King was never really a Premier League quality player. If he hadn't been promoted with a side he'd never have made it to that level and when he did he had to settle for being a squad player. He wasn't really a first choice starter in the Championship let alone the Prem. He was, what, third, fourth choice? Fifth sometimes (Drinkwater, James, Cambiasso, Hammond?)

Lacked pace and athleticism and ultimately lacked a bit of vision and ambition in a playmaking sense too.

Ultimate professional and one of the most likeable players in our modern history where as Sav was a complete twat. I get why he's not remembered as King or a cult hero like Roberts but he's our best Welsh player in my lifetime I reckon.

Before my time but John O’Neil for Northern Ireland. Played in 2 world cups while with us.

John O Neil was a good defender but boy was he slow reckon Vesty would outpace him

For home nations I would go...

England - Lineker. Maybe harsh on Banks, Shilton, Vardy and Kane.

Wales - Mal Griffiths. 400 plus appearances. First player to score for Leicester City at Wembley.

Scotland - Davie Gibson. Generally regarded as the best and most consistent outfield player from the Ice Kings through to the '69 Cup Final.

Norn Iron - Derek Dougan. An incredible talent according to me Dad.

Rep. Of Ireland - Gerry Daly. Because otherwise it would probably have to be Sean St. Ledger.

Pace doesn't matter if a defender can read the game well.

The history/statistics section needs to be highlighted more. It's fantastic.
