What a complete missed opportunity this is by the club. The whole of the Kop end should have been made safe standing. It’s an opportunity for a cull of those that don’t want this to move elsewhere and for those who do to relocate to the safe standing area. People will just stand in the areas adjacent to the safe standing zones 100%.

The whole cashless based system that society apparently wants us to adopt is all about greed and control and the EPL and Leicester are no different. I do feel for those on here who are having to purchase a burner phone just to ticket share.  There should be a card or paper ticket option. The choice should be there just as in society to use a phone, tap a card or pay cash!

Time for the Tennis ball protest!

Ahh I suppose the 5 times of selling back they will benefit from as I assume it’s a full price ticket again for someone to buy..

maybe it won’t be a massive financial gain but still takes the p1ss..

So by going digital and using the resale platform, I can only assume they resell to back to fans at full price? If I’m wrong please let me know..

That wasn't the issue the poster was talking about.  In any case it would be interesting to know whether the club really do make money from the resell platform given that the couple of times I have done it my ticket has always sold even though  the game hasnt sold out, so they have lost money on those occasions.

Of course the club makes money from the resell platform, it wouldn’t exist otherwise, when you list your ticket and it sells, you get back 1/19th but the club are selling it for full match day price

take A1 for example, they will pay 1/19th in refund to you £21.26 but sell that ticket for £44, so it’s a profit of nearly £23

Except when not a sell out they would have sold another seat at full price and would have had to give the ST anything. Hardly any games this season have been a sell out, so doubt whether the scheme has made them anything in fact it's probably running at a lost currently.

The Trust was lobbying for the amount of permitted transfers to be higher than 5 last summer, if you would like to message us directly on here or e-mail [email protected] we would like to discuss this further with you

Do they need any affiliation with LCFC to receive the transferred ticket?

Why didn't they increase it past 5?

Is there any punishment for leaving the seat empty if it's not transferred?

Is there a limit on times I can sell the ticket?

Is there any punishment for leaving the seat empty if it isn't sold (even if advertised)?

If the club had any honour we'd all get full refunds for this season

They've royally ripped us off with the squad they've put together

You are wrong kid, they do work and I’ll tell you this, your card has the same chip in it as the chip in the top of smart phones to enable NFC ticketing to work.

As long as you downloaded the email at the start of the season it automatically updates in your wallet.

Another miff someone else said on here if the system goes down you’re stuck, if the system goes down card holders will not get in either as see my first paragraph it’s the same technology just one is in a piece of plastic, the other is in a phone.

You don’t need any signal at the ground, the problem is idiots turn up without first installing it and wonder why they cannot get in as no phone signal. Get it in your wallet beforehand and that’s it, after every game it will update for the next one.

Add in all you need to do is point the top edge of your phone at the ))) sign and it opens,  some try putting it under the QR reader or push it face on to the ))), yes go under the QR reader if using the extra QR code on it but you shouldn’t need to, that’s just a back up option.

But you have to ask why it’s mandatory if we won’t be in the league as it’s looking like?

Ah my mistake then buddy I must just be imagining the long queues I’ve been stood in at turnstiles since they’ve introduced this 👍🏻

That's tw@ts like me, who love queuing. It's the best part of the match day experience.

I've been going for nearly 50 years and a season ticket holder since 1979 / 1980.

I'm thinking it may times up for me.

The direction of the club is ****ing abysmal and the digital ticket enforcement is the last straw I think.

If my lads not bothered, he's moved away to Uni, I think that's me done.

Great memories but seeing what these ****ing imbeciles have done to our great club over the last 5 years is heart breaking

I'm the same. I still care  but I'm not giving this lot another penny. Not even a members card or the occasional game unless there are major changes. They're quick off the draw with the renewals but still no hint of changes at the top.

I've enjoyed missing the games over the last few weeks to attending the ones I've been to which not something I've never felt before.

Even if I missed a defeat I'd have rather have been there but I dread all of the games this season.

There's not been one game where I've not thought this team is totally ****ing crap and worse doesn't give a ****

Is it just me who thinks digital tickets are just fine?

Functionality is absolutely fine.  Never had a problem. Get there at 2:55 and there will be ques, digital tickets or not.  Scans as easily as a barcode on a paper ticket for me.

However, i cant imagine my mum or dad or a lot of pensioners being confident using them.  There is also the fact that many people like to save tickets as momentos (first game, big game, so and so's last game etc) and you can't do that with digital tickets.

I also dont like the fact its another type of control/monitoring etc in a digital world.

Having moved 213 miles away last year,i'm glad the decision has been taken out of my hands! That's after 40 odd years as a ST holder. No doubt if i still lived in Leicester i'd have coughed up.......but to be honest i don't miss the "Match Day Experince" and watch on the various platforms that are here today.......so many more better things to do!

I regretted buying my ST back long before this season turned into the nightmare it is, so unsurprisingly I won't be renewing. The train fares and endless shit kick off times have done for me even before the dreadful football and utter ***** wearing the shirt.

I'd actually expected the club not to apply the 5 game limit for resales so rigidly, as I'm sure their sheer greed would have had them trying to make that extra 20 quid wherever they could. But I ran out of resales before Christmas and haven't been allowed another one despite trying it out to check a few times since.

I am surprised the digital ticketing for so many is the straw what broke the camels back.

By and large, a dormant fan base really kicks off over something which is already used at the likes of Bromley, Harrogate Town, Bradford City, Lech Poznan and all sorts of grounds I've been to in Europe.

This isn't an endorsement of it. Just there's umpteen different issues crop up in recent years and that's the one that's got people.

I have no real problem with digital tickets personally, but appreciate there are many who will see it as the final nail in the coffin, particularly for people who rightly or wrongly can't make 23 home matches and share tickets.

Surely if the club has any sense, they would at least for next season not limit the amount of transfers you can make (i.e. the same as a physical ticket) and find out how widespread that really is.

Digital tickets are fine, just need to start doing it, and it becomes clear.

And don’t get too hung up on profit from resales, there’s a ticket office, call handler, rates, lighting heating, wages…..and they don’t sell them all ( look at last night) I hope (think) they’ll make ticket sharing more flexible next year.

Accept I’ll get slaughtered fo this but 23 games for £440 is incredibly cheap….it’s £12 to watch Stamford….

Especially when it was brought in for match by match tickets ages ago and no one batted an eyelid at the time. Absolutely zero solidarity across the fanbase.

No way on earth I'm renewing. Not at any price. After what's been served up this season, i don't care how much you love the club or football as a sport, we are unwatchable.
