Rohl to Leipzig

Rosenior to stay at Strasbourg

Welcome Russell Martin 🦊

tbf both of them seem pretty sound imo, sort of manager RB Leipzig would go for too

Dyche is the only one that makes sense where we are as a club at the moment. We need a manager who's been there done it and can make do with what we've got (which is next to nothing).

It's clear current ownership are not willing to invest in support staff for the manager and will continue the squander funds on dross players. Which means any up and coming manager without experience in the Championship/PL is a massive risk. And even if it does come off we have another Maresca poaching situation to put us back to square one again

We should have gone for Moyes when we had the chance before Everton. Dyche will at least steady the ship and get us playing like a unit. There's no jumping this phase unfortunately

I’ve always stuck up for KP, and im

honestly starting to struggle. I think im

warming to change of ownership, not just a new board, dof, head of recruitment etc.

as mentioned by many others, we need a manager in the red bull/heavy metal pressing style.

what was the German fella who managed in the lower leagues here called? Uwe rosler? I’d even take him now if he’s still about!

Come on mate, you can do it. Just say it, say those magic words. "King. Power. Ou......"

The bar is so low that I think Russell Martin wouldn't be the worst option.

I find him very dislikeable and I wouldn't want him as pur manager, but most sides in the championship couldn't live with his Southampton side. He'd have us up towards the top of the table competing at least. If we did get promoted it'd be a waste of time though. Well out of his depth at this level.

Very true, but Saints fans will tell you that their board isn't exactly a paragon of competence itself.

In terms of being a draw for Röhl, we might be much of a muchness. He's worked at Southampton before, but knows Glover here. Even location may be a factor depending on whether or not he and family are settled in Sheffield or surrounding areas.

Pretty sure his family never moved over.

He nearly went to Southampton this season but the finances couldn't be done and not all his staff wanted to move.

Moyes was never going to come here, he's not stupid!

His staff would have no problem working at Seagrave if they are already working in South Yorkshire.

Obviously Powell would love to come back, I’m sure.

No manager is going to do any good whatsoever until there's been a huge clearout. The problem is we can't because the dross responsible have been given contracts with wages no other suckers would be willing to pay! We're absolutely stuck with them for the foreseeable.

If we take it that Mads and El Khannouss will go with Vardy retiring, we need to rid ourselves of JJ, Coady, Vestergaard, Faes, Kristiansen, Ndidi, Winks, Soumare, Daka, Ayew, Reid and Mcateer!

Bugger, we haven't got anyone left? That's how bad it is.

I think we will be in for a bit of a shock. Who is going to come in for the likes of Ndidi, Soumaré, Daka, VK on the wages that they are on. I fear that they will just rot here taking the money until their contract runs out.

The only saving grace is that the book values for all 4 you have quoted are fairly low now, in fact Ndidi will be nil so we could allow him to leave for a fairly low fee on basis that the buying club cover his wages in full. The other 3 are all comfortably under £10m, so if we are sensible and I know that usually isn’t the case with us but if we are we should look to do deals that clear the book value and if we can book a small profit then great but if not the key issue is to remove high earners.

There will be clubs that will see all 4 as decent value signings now book values are relatively low and plus all will have relegation wage reductions coming so again makes them more gettable.

I wish we’d at least look abroad but we won’t. Based on that I hope it’s Rohl or Roseinor. More likely to be Dyche, Martin or Gary O’Neil.

That or someone who is doing really well at a slightly lower level. Not someone that has failed already.

Has a manager with one coach (of his own) ever been a success at any club before?

I’m not defending Ruud, he’s absolute pony but curious how him not having a ready made backroom staff wasn’t a red flag to Top.

Rohl is going to Southampton unless a big club like RB come in,. We have missed the boat with him already as we did corberan.

it will be hilarious when when we sack RVN when relegated and there is no clause, big payout and we just didn’t know what to do.

100% this, the club aren’t sacking Rudd, they can’t afford to for PSR. They will wait until at least June but I get the feeling Top wants him to rebuild.

I was going to say - it's pretty commutable. Didn't Pearson commute from South Yorkshire for a time as well?

Yep. Whatever is cheapest and easiest for the owner and Rudkin.

He probably wouldn't even need to commute given the facilities at Seagrave. Remember Maresca spending almost the whole summer there before moving closer by?
