I've heard something that Russell Martin is currently stalling on a decision as he holding out for the Rangers job. If this is the case then don't go for Martin... we're not second fiddle.

Couple of points. 1 RM likes his teams to press high so Mavidid and Fatawu will be very busy, he likes his teams to win the ball back high. 2 Burnley and Leeds were both 10 points clear of the 3rd place team, so points deductions can be overcome. 
RM can give us Enzo type success if we get behind him.

Likely not true as reported Rangers are choosing between Gerrard and Davide Ancelotti

They were supposedly going to give him the job after Clement was sacked but then Ferguson got a decent result in Europe so they decided to stick with Ferguson till the end of the season. I think since then Rangers weighed up there options and realised theres better options than Martin. Like you say I dont think he's favourite for Gers job, i think his chance come and gone.

Have to wonder why no one is seriously linked with Rohl. Maybe he just isn't all that.

Not saying I want him, but I'm surprised we haven't been linked more Gerrard. From the press point of view they would love it having Lampard at bitter rivals Cov and Gerrard at Leicester. Just hope we don't get that stupid head down that route.

But we are 2nd fiddle thanks to Whelan,Rudkin and Top and the way they have run the club .... Martin will use us into pushing Rangers into making a move ... but why they want him is beyond me ... his track record is far from impressive.... we need a manager to stabilise and build .. don't expect miracles it must be done right and not a knee jerk appointment as previous

No evidence at all that they'd play the youth. Canrsley had no choice in the matter when he was in charge of England youth.  Also, neither have recent experience of managing a club, which is a much more demanding job than managing an international squad.
