The interviews after the games put my head on mars. One of the questions after the Brentford game was whether it was a positive that it wasn’t worse in the second half. Can’t stand this PC bullshit the club put out. You can see the Trend throughout the club though, focus on false positives and ignore the obvious problems.

a part of it imo anyway is done cos some of the players have massive egos

so to make them feel "special"

even tho they couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery

You can spot in it a mile off when they are trying to do an on trend soundbite but either the trend has been and gone or, it doesn't really work, either way it can be total cringe.

It's like seeing a divorced dad trying to use cool words to reconnect with his teenage daughter.

So, thank you Leicester City for letting me know it's International Greek Independence Day!

We now know that someone's bought them an international events calendar to go with their political one! Whoopee, we could be getting inundated with such valuable information now.

As much as I genuinely love the Greek people, this is no more than another example of corporate 'look how inclusive we are' nauseating creeping nonsense. Is it any wonder they're in a mess. I suppose you can't polish a turd but you can try and fool a few by sprinkling it in glitter?

Stick to football!

Which member of the men's first team coaching staff are you under the impression is making these posts, or what coaching role the social media team are performing?

Their latest post trying to flog the away kit at reduced price, seriously?

Yet some of our fans will buy it, complete blind loyalty

I basically agree re: read the room, but so much of social media output is based on quantity and not necessarily quality, to be getting interactions etc. So in that respect they are doing their job well.

As someone in the industry, that's not true.

Long term their results would improve ten fold if they posted once a day* rather than fifteen times. It's trickier for football clubs than other industries, we'd probably all think the club was folding if they went a day without posting.... but they could massively cut down and significantly improve engagement.

The algorithms now are based on engagement per post and ours is shocking because some of the posts are dreadful. One great post a day would see engagement and growth shoot up.

Matchdays being an exception of course*

Ah fair enough, I stand corrected.

I was making the presumption based on my own experience of running band social media accounts and stuff, we are told to just post as much as possible, but I suppose thats just to maximise the possibility of engagement.

I think spray and prey has deffo worked in the past. But certainly being flipped on its head now, especially by META (probably why we post slightly less on Insta)
