Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Shit article as well, how does this sentence make sense: "The Midlands club feel well placed to revamp the squad with release clauses rare at the King Power Stadium and only three players out of contract" 1

Which is a fair point in that scenario but the players are absolutely wank, so makes no sense. 1

But we have a proven track record of not being able to sell players when they don't have release clauses.

No one that has watched him the last 3 seasons is paying that money for him. Then there's the issue of his injury record. Don't forget he reportedly touted himself around when his contract was last up, got no offers that he fancied (IE nothing in the prem, when he would have been a free signing), and then signed for us again. He's older and shitter now and clubs will need to pay £9m for him. Edited 29 April 2025 by Sol thewall Bamba
TheGoldenGod Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Contracted until the summer 2027, wonder if we could command a bit more? Not read the article but I guess not if its a relegation release clause. Yeah he's not been the Wilf of 2020-21 but 8.5 years at a club is pretty unusual, spent most his career with us!
Haywood_6 Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 He's not one of the main culprits (like Faes, Soumare, Justin, Daka levels of incompetence) but it's time for him to be moved on. Out with the old 4
RowlattsFox Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Wages might be lower now but can't see how someone wouldn't take a gamble on his on a free last year but will pay £9m now. He's a really limited footballer but I'd have no complaints if he's still here next season. 2
James_lcfc Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Zero chance anyone pays £9m for him, come on! He'd have gone last Summer for free if anyone outside of Leicester rated him. He'll be here next season, and should be pretty useful for us. 1

CosbehFox Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Speaks volumes this article is out there. Just release the information and get his name out there. He clocked off about two months ago which is a deep shame as he’s been a very good and honourable player for the club 2

I'd have thought Fulham/Bournemouth etc will be all over this. 1
JimJams Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Bare in mind we supposedly got offers of 10 for Kasey, 5 for Thomas, got 10 for Cannon and Wilder fancies Hamza. There's enough idiots out there. And we should know... 2
Guest Lako42 Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 (edited) Drain the swamp Doesn't look remotely motivated to operate to a high level imo. Edited 29 April 2025 by Lako42

I think they'd have more sense, but happy to be proved wrong...
CL Fox Posted 29 April 2025 Posted 29 April 2025 Someone will easily pay 9m for him. Most squads outside the top 6 would take him as a squad player. 2
