Seems like people having been saying it gonna be this week or thar week for about 2 years.

Same why they have been guessing its going to be 3,6,7,9,10, or 15 points.

Has the IC made its decision and informed all parties, which would suggest that somebody at the PL or the club is leaking the outcome to the media? Or has the IC still not announced its decision and somebody at the club or the PL is merely guessing at the outcome and informing the media about that?

You guessed it.

This may have already been asked but this thread is too long now to trawl through.

What is the nearest end of season points deduction that's been made so far?

With this saga going on for so long, could our lawyers argue something along the lines of this drawn-out process is bordering on a 'Restaint of trade' and/or 'A cruel and unusual punishment'?

Dramatic perhaps, but the consequences are we, nor our competitors, know how this will affect our futures and thereby have consequences for decisions already made or about to be made.

Lots of possible ramifications I think.

Imagine, if come the final whistle at the end of the season, there is some doubt as to final play-off places and/or relegation spots.

This is from memory so may not be 100% accurate

I believe there is a cut of date should a club suffer an Insolvency Event that being some time in March. However something in the back of mind is suggesting if  after the cut off date a points deduction can be carried forward but issues around completion of that insolvency event  put a clubs very membership of the EFL in jeopardy.

But of course we aren’t talking about an Insolvency Event.

I would imagine that any points deduction for other matters can be applied up to the last match of the season. Post that last match you would fall foul of the leagues AGM .If any deduction would have put LC in a relegation place then the EFL would be under great pressure at their AGM not to place LC in the 26/27 EFL 1

Not going to  fully work through the timings and or consequences around play offs or promotion because I suspect that neither are likely.

Not as cruel as 10 points with a 1 point reduction every time Daka scores.

Great minds @ian__marshall   although yours a bit faster

They've deffo been waiting for the end of the window, i'd say it's any day now, they won't want to make their pettiness obvious so bet its next week

Again, the PL/EFL have no real say in the timing of the final outcome. It's sitting with the independent commission who are deliberating on and deciding the final outcome.

If they were being petty, wouldn't they have announced it before the transfer window so that potential transfers were put off coming to us?

Could be seen either way. If we knew we were in big trouble, I’d imagine we would have thrown the kitchen sink at surviving and spent some money

It's taken so long, by way of an apology, they're going to award us an additional 15 points.

Should see us finishing comfortably in midtable

Hate to say I told you so, call me a conspiracy theorist but it just feels like they wanted to cause us maximum harm in the window by scaring away potential signings.

Correlation doesn't mean causation.
