Surely not sustainable

May be an image of 1 person, playing football, playing American football and text that says "NOTTM FOREST SUMMER TRANSFERS HUTCHINSON €43.4M DAN NDOYE A. The Douglas Luiz deal is initially a loan and they've made quite a lot from sales, most notably Elanga - they've a lower net spend so far this window than all three promoted teams

I don’t get why Nuno is moaning they have brought in quite a lot of players and mainted there Gk defence and Mgw

He doesn't feel there's enough defensive cover. He does have a point tbf, as they still look thin if any of Sels, Murillo, Milenkovic, Aina or Williams get knocks.

They do realize Wout Faes is available don't they ?

It makes me wonder if there's something in the Kristiansen chatter as he has explicitly outlined fullback as a problem area.

In terms of sustainability, they've definitely overpaid for some of these. Hutchinson is outrageous business for someone who was very average at this level last season and Ipswich fans see it as an excellent deal on their part.

Wolves have rejected a £50m bid from Newcastle for Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Wolves' position is that he is not for sale in this window.

They believe he is too important and the lack of time left in the window is not enough to find a Premier League-ready replacement.

I'm sure Jabba will fix the books somehow he always does

There's only so much Zorba can do, especially if they don't make Europe this time.

The six who finished above them will finish above them again. Spurs will improve under Frank. Brighton will be there or thereabouts as they always are. Everton are a different club to that which regularly teetered on the brink and have done good transfer business. Manchester United may be a very different beast with Cunha and Mbuemo available.

Couple all of this with the likelihood that Nuno leaves, the fact that they got very lucky with injuries last season and a long-termer to any of Aina, Murillo, Milenkovic, Gibbs-White or Wood absolutely hamstrings them and an absolute minimum of eight extra games with potential long trips as well and you'd have to conclude that top 10 would be a decent season.

But 10th isn't going to pay the bills they're accruing without PSR breaches or significant sales, and by 'significant' I mean one of the names I've mentioned above. Botafogo aren't going to spunk £50m on a 35-year-old Chris Wood to get them out of the shit any more than Lyon will break their transfer record to capture Ryan Yates or Callum Hudson-Odoi.

If it was wages that did for us Forest must be well ahead of our curve and heading for the same fate.

They must already have 2 to 3 times the amount of players on £100k+ pw than we ever had & more in the next bracket down £70-90k & all this after just 1 decent season.

Apparently MGW is on £160,000 a week. As soon as their other key players get tapped up by big clubs, they now have a benchmark demand or they walk.

I've said before that failing to qualify for the UCL would be very costly for them as their players are in the shop window but not in the UCL. If Forest want to keep them, they will have to pay UCL money without the UCL funds. And if they fail to qualify for Europe altogether this season? A world of shit.

They've massively dodged a bullet Newcastle

They are far better off going for a big club reject than an aspiring player at a smaller club

Sky peddling out the "Liverpool have only put a bid in, whats the big deal??" bollocks.

They knew the price for Isak and have intentionally unsettled him by getting in his ear and putting in an offer below the asking price. They know what they're doing.

£50m for Strand Larsen?

That's mental money for an okay-ish striker.

14 goals in his first season is a pretty good return.

I agree though he's only worth £40m max. He has limitations on his finishing and lacks any real pace.

Different when It's Madrid talking to Trent behind their backs though.

Of course it is? Trent ran out his contract having been free to talk to whoever he wanted within the last 6 months of his contract. That's the same for everyone who is running his contract down.

I agree completely. Didn't stop them whining about how it was all planned in advance though did it and how he was a traitor because he was a local lad? Well yeah duh guys! He refused to sign a new contract more that once and always had Madrid chasing him for ages.
