I would think it is much harder for a young player coming into a side that is struggling week after week. Playing in a winning team with morale high must be a better environment. Easy to forgive the odd error by a player if the team wins anyway. Everything magnified if the mistake proves costly.

There are certain people just waiting for a young player to have a poor performance so they can get their I told you so’s in

Yet when the seniors are rubbish they just need a ‘run of games’.

Regarding page

I’d like to believe that Rowett with his experience saw an environment wasn’t conducive to a player of page’s age and decided to shield him from it.  I mean we have no idea how the kid was coping mentally.

I don’t believe that’s true but it’s a tiny possibility !

the commitment we made to Monga on his scholar contract where he gets a very good wage at 18 is looking a bust with us where we now are. Hence no surprise to see him linked with a move away.

The fact that Rowett bought winks on to boos makes me wonder if he knows the players are a write off. Bringing young players into a toxic lazy environment isn't good for them at all.

Id go all out, do you want to be here or not then bin off the 10-12 players causing the issues.

Rowett had 12 f&£&!ing games. He binned youth off from the start. This isn’t some project to be kind to them. The fans were hugely behind Rowett at the KP in those early games.

Just simply, the bloke is a *****.

Maybe one of the journos can ask him if he took some of the youth out of the squad to protect them or because he felt the task needed experience.

And how many of the experienced players had successfully fought a relegation battle ??

Mukasa replaced Page, a year younger and had played less games. Of course we may have been contracted to play Mukasa.

One of the notable things about mukasa was the way he changed from Pirlo to junior Lewis within three weeks of being here!

either he realised the crap he was being asked to play with wasn’t worth the effort or Rowett asked him to play a different role than in those first few games.

Have been informed that there are no plans to cut academy funding.

It appears that quite a few local grassroots lads, that I know of, are being signed by Notts Forest, Derby and Coventry. Has this always happened or is it that they are scouring Leicester/Leicestershire more?

U21 season over too, lost 1-0 to Spurs last night.

Be nice to see a few of them at Blackburn as there’s nothing on that game.

Do we really need to be playing Fatawu, Mukasa, Daka, Ricardo, etc in that game?

I’d be giving one of the strikers a start personally. Daka & Ayew are off so why not look to the future? Otchere has been in great form

Plus I’d like to see Riley Carr given a chance instead of Abdul or Mavadidi. I like his direct attacking approach. Looks like he has real pace running with the ball as well.
