Still no Hutchinson at all!

I think this makes me angrier than no Ben Nelson, Aluko, Page or Evans in the 1st team. It literally makes no sense, there's no risk of playing him in the U21s for his progression nor any pressure that it would be at the expense of a player on millions a year.

He aced it at U18 level last year, had to be convinced of his future and pathway at Leicester in order to sign a pro deal and yet still is kept back. He's started this season scoring at an obscene rate again and proven to be far too good for that level now and yet still no recognition and promotion up the ranks.

Decision making like that just makes it so easy to absolute hate everything about this football club.

Totally agree. Thought you were spot on, on the pod with your soap box moment…..

The crooks of the situation is, the current first team is achieving nothing, so what harm can starting promising talent do?

The time to chuck a load in was the start of the season though, when there's a bit of optimism, no way Marti throws 3 or 4 in now. At most reckon we see Nelson, along with Monga and a few sub appearances from Page, Aluko etc.

You’re spot on, which is why I think Marti has already done his own legs. We will likely see three more poor performances and him gone before Christmas.

He is falling into the same trap that Cooper did, and Ruud did…. Just playing the same old shit week in week out regardless of how they’re performing.

Thomas has dropped a howler every game, he’s been dog shit every game, yet still plays.

Which of the youth players do we think would either be in starting 11 or leave if we are in the Championship next season or in League 1?

I think Monga and Nelson are gone whichever league we are in.

If in the Championship, I am unsure many of the rest would be given a chance but may also not be poached.

If we were relegated, would we struggle to hold onto Evans, Page or even Cartwright? We might struggle with Evans and Page regardless.

I do think if we went down, there would be no reason not to play many of them. Cartwright coming off a season in the SPL and Braybrooke if he continues to do really well in L2 would be seen as the type of young signings you’d look to make if they weren’t already ours. Evans if he was at a PL club you’d see it as a coup of a loan so again, you’d have to play him.

If we did go down, you could have all the following in the side;

Stolarcryk

Aluko

Braybrooke

Cartwright

Alves

Page

Evans

If the remaining areas were filled by experienced players with good attitudes, that’d be a side you could really get behind!

Says so much about our squad that I’m looking forward to watching Page and Evans pull on an England shirt more than our own game tomorrow lol

Quite!

Not sure how much chance they have of starting. They haven't been involved for the U17's at any stage throughout qualifying or the warm up camp.

Page is/was first choice for that group in the summer at the Euros in a midfield pairing with Fulham’s Seth Ridgeon who is also a cracking player. I’m sure Evans will play a bit part having not been part of the group - but they do like to rotate at youth level so maybe he’ll start the second game against Haiti.

I get excited about the next season when the current one goes to shit lol

But sadly you are likely right. I live in hope that we can let Daka, Soumare, Winks and Ayew go without feeling the urge to offer new contracts.

Unfortunately, Vestergaard and Faes are 2027 so I have nightmares that they are our starting defence against next year! BDR, VK, Thomas (even though we could have been rid) and Skipp are the worst ones that will be left.
