Not to sound like Pep but players don't get a rest do they. We've just had International games, straight after the season ends, and now we're onto this pointless Club World Cup "competition".

 

Players should all be resting ahead of the new season, which will come round really soon.

Yep pretty much 4 years of non stop football, Euro 24, club world cup 25, World cup 26. More players getting injured and most playing at 60/70% of their full capability. 

There are still loads of tickets for this, had a glance yesterday out of interest and you can go to Chelsea's match v LA for $30 LOL. Even the final has 1000s on general sale.

It is a waste of time and players are played far too much but you have to acknowledge that to the other continents this is so big for them. The South American and African teams in particular are bang up for this.

I hope the attendances are absolutely terrible. If there's one thing that'll suck the sense of occasion out of this it'll be a sea of empty seats and no atmosphere.

 

A vanity competition created because Infantino is jealous of UEFA, funded by the Saudis and hosted in a country deploying the armed forces on its own citizens. What could be better?

 

Oh, the prize money will probably also propel or continue the dominance of several teams in their domestic/continental leagues. That's what could be better.

I'm glad its on Channel 5, gives it the respect it deserves.

 

That said, we'll all end up watching the odd match here and there due to lack of football won't we? :(

That being said, I'll be watching some/most of the games. Rare you get a chance to watch south american vs european teams.

Don't buy into this overworked players shit. Squad sizes are absolutely huge these days and they're all being paid obscene money. STFU and get on with it

Honestly no. I hate end of season stuff. It's been so dire I genuinely want the break from football.

 

Champions League final should be the end of the year, all of this post-season friendlies, post-season club tournaments, post-season internationals, absolute muck. Don't want any of it.

 

Obviously the World Cup or the Euros is an exception but even then you get a bit of a break before that starts don't you.
