I don't really see what someone's skin colour has to do with culture and language to be honest. And I don't understand why Skegness isn't integrated with British culture because they are mainly white 🤷‍♂️

I agree Jenrick's statement was racist.  His move from Cameroon to the right has been quite startling.

 

I think though when we then start to generalise, saying that people should be blind to the changing population of the UK, and either ignore the impact they see, or their feelings of concern, then we are at risk of ostracising them, instead of supporting and educating, ensuring services are not impacted, that culture has room to co-exist.  And ignoring those things got us where we are today.

If Swedes started arriving enmass on these shores and became direct competition for jobs and sevices then Farages voter base would strongly object.

The colour thing is mainly anti Islam

Yeah, considering the recent history, anything short of righteous cold antagonism would look that way tbh. 

 

Carney is shrewd, I think, but it is a bit frustrating that more leaders are choosing a softer approach rather than presenting a united front against Trump and telling him exactly what he is and, in diplomatic speak, to fvck off when needed.

I think he's a good operator, he was when he was chief at BofE so when I saw it I was surprised, maybe the flattery tactic is a prelude for something else
