Interestingly Boureille and Payne are represented by the same agency. Surely can't be a coincidence.

Just something ive stumbled upon... Useless bit of knowledge for the day.

is Rudkin still dof for the women's side as well (don't remember anyone taking over after Kirk moved to the manager role), because if so we know from the men's team that that's just the level of effort he puts in to recruitment

No, the ex Villa womens team DoF took up the role about a month ago now.

But no doubt there's a level influence in there from Rudkin somewhere.

Nottingham Forest sign former Leicester City forward Rose
By Daniel Pentland / August 19, 2025
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of former Leicester City forward Deanne Rose on a free transfer.
The Tricky Trees announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this evening.

The 26-year-old joins Nottingham Forest after leaving former club Leicester City earlier this summer. She has signed a one-year deal at The City Ground.

Rose has spent the last four years playing her football in the English game. She joined Reading in summer 2021 before moving to latest club Leicester City two years’ later. The attacker has also turned out for Canadian club DeRo United in the senior game.

On the international stage, Rose has been capped by Canada on 88 occasions while she has scored 11 goals. The player was an Olympic Games Gold Medalist in 2021.

After joining Nottingham Forest, Rose said “It’s really exciting to be here, I’ve learnt a lot about the history of the Club so I just can’t wait to get started.

“The ambitions of the Club are incredible with the investment in both the men’s and women’s teams, it’s great to see the places that the Club wants to go.”

Rose is Nottingham Forest’s second signing of the day with midfielder Rachel Rowe having also agreed a move to The City Ground.

Drew 1-1 to Villa in a friendly yesterday.

Its a shame that the club aren't writing about it at all or making any reference to it even on their social media.

Especially in the light of the boom period that womens football is in right now nationally.

Another thing referenced by the Foxes Trust. If nothing else you'd think they'd wany to take the attention away from the men's team and focus on a team in the top flight.

I wouldn't necessarily expect the Men's team social media to post anything about it (though cross-promotion would be great).

The women's social media hasn't had anything at all either.

I still stand by that I believe that the socials for both Men's and womens teams should be on the one account, creating the segregation means there's a lack of visibility and missed marketing opportunities.

Man City (used to - don't know if they still do) use the main account for everything but then have a distinct separate account for Womens match day feed as not to confuse.

Womens social media accounts as well are generally far more engaging and entertaining if you look at the likes of Chelsea's and Arsenal's. Ours is very bog standard.

I am utterly mindblown that they can't see its the area with the highest possible growth - at games and on the socials. They try all sorts of things they couldn't normally. They also don't appear to understand that the demographic for the Female game is slightly different.

If this goes through would it be the first time the women team of a club has outspent the men?

When you don't know whether to laugh or cry... - (considering the relative state of both).

Miquel is absolutely useless, having watched all the games last season home and away I saw nothing from her.  I wanted Beard in the minute he left Liverpool. Get her gone and I’m back watching them! I can’t watch Miquel-ball.

Wonder if the high profile departures of Momiki and Howard have anything to do with it or the new DoF?

Beard is a great manager and I'd snap your hand off typically, but so close to the start of the season seems like a big risk.

I'm also not that down on Miquel, think she could still do a decent job. Would seem harsh to sack her after a season defined by a huge injury crisis and still managed to improve on prior seasons points totals.

If it happened, I wouldn't be upset about it, just a little concerned.

she had a season where for large parts of it our forward line consisted of a Winger, a DM and a full back with nothing off the bench to help and people are writing her off? If Beard comes in then fine whatever but you are being overly harsh
