England tbh have only really had one decent full 90 minute performance... which was against the Dutch. Some will say what about the wales game?... we never got in second gear in that game.. Wales were terrible. For most of this tournament we seem to perform better in the final 30 minutes.

Don’t seem to be committing forward from midfield to support Russo (although the goal seems to have changed things on that )

maybe if we had then we’d have scored first - but perhaps it reflects the coach didn’t have a lot of trust in her back 4 and defensive midfield

Last match it was because of Chloe Kelly having an impact. I haven’t seen any of the other matches.

God save the king is not exactly song about the country, doesn't fill you with pride. Just sing about a family who we spend money on allowing them to live a life of luxury. Time to allow us to have our own anthem like in the commonwealth games.

Some big chances missed by James and Russo, need to be putting at least one of those away in a game like this. 

 

Defence has looked shaky all tournament really, so the goal wasn't a surprise. Maybe Millie Bright is a big miss with her experience and partnership with Williamson (who has been poor all tournament imo). 

 

Looks a game too far for Bronze as well after her heroics in the last round.

I always feel that when it comes to the womens game it's country before club, rather than the men where it's club before country. Lauren James seems only one I feel doesn't follow that suit. I never get the feeling for England its the height of her career. For Lauren it's about playing for Chelsea and becoming a top player for them or whatever club side she plays for.
