We ended the season well without him and should look to do the same, hopefully Fatawu and Monga will start

Sometimes its about the style of football that you want to achieve at the club, rather than a single win % stat.

Mavididi's defensive contributions and his overall work rate are some of his more standout stats? Both pressing and tracking back.

Mavididi’s attitude might get in the way. He’s come across a bit of a dick of late (in my opinion anyway)

Mavididi is a bit of a dick, Winks thinks he's better than the squad, it's amazing how good some of you lot are at deep psychological analysis of people you've never met before.

 

Really wish FoxesTalk would ****ing knock it off sometimes. We don't actually know what goes on at the club and I can't really blame anyone for having their morale hit by the year we've just had, in particular them having to work with two absolutely honking managers.

 

Enzo came in and turned Jannik Vestergaard - who had been completely frozen out - in to one of our two or three most important players on the way to promotion. Who knows who Cifuentes will like and be able to get a tune out of? Everyone pretty much just gets a clean slate, as far as I'm concerned.

I reckon he stays this year and will play well. But it won't change my opinion that his attitude stinks, particularly if the team is struggling.

 

I don't understand the Mavididi whinge, he always looks like a trier to me. He is probably a confidence player and needs looking after by the management, but I don't see any problems with his attitude.

Mav has looked like he doesn’t want to be here on a number of matches, and his efforts in the PL were pretty muted.

Winks and Mavidi could have had good reasons for falling out with Ruud and we don't really know what we t on behind the scenes.

 

One thing we do know is that Ruud was useless and had terrible man management.

My sentiments exactly.

 

When Mavididi has been poor, he's looked frustrated and tried too hard to make things happen solo. When he's been in a good run of form and seems happier, he's a much, much better player. If Marti can instil some confidence in him (and put a half decent LB behind him...) then he's got an incredibly high ceiling and will be one of the standout players in the division.

 

 

Winks... Meh. If he plays and puts in effort I'll support him on the pitch as I would all players, but I'm certainly not going to shed a tear if/when he leaves.

Like many, i have a hunch that Ruud was an especially poor man manager and the narrative could have been pushed a certain way. People are people at the end of the day and we know Winks had just become a father. Like anyone employed who has a situation like this, everyone deserves the right to clear the air with their employer and work out how to move forward.

He was a poor manager, but I’ve had to work away from my new borns earning significantly less than Winks. But as long as he enjoyed his Aperol Spritz….

And if you had a disagreement over something you didn't think was necessary you would have had every right to discuss a way forward with your employer.  I am sure he would much rather have been playing against Liverpool that day.

Refusing to stay one day week at the training ground (with excellent lodgings) wasn't reasonable, the "I miss u Enzo", paraphrased, wasn't professional.

Winks has a year left on his deal and he's not up to in the PL we should sell whilst we can recoup a small fee.

You lot talking utter tosh. Mavididi is class in this league! Barely got a look in under Ruud in the Prem, I'd be f***ed off too watching some of the lemons he rather put out there than him.

 

He actually drives at his man and tries to do something...yeah it leads to him running into dark alleys but I'd rather that than no creative spark at all!

Couldn't agree more with this, said the same about some of the assumptions regarding King. There are parasocial assumptions and opinions about people at the club posted on here all the time. You'd think people on here live at Seagrave or something.

It's a bit of a leap and secondary to the other point but he probably had the biggest playing differential between Maresca and Cooper.

It's a fans forum. If we could only post about facts without making assumptions then there would be 1/20th of the threads on here. Sometimes it's completely vapid and baseless but gut feeling and intuition are occasionally right.

Everyone gets a clean slate which is what happens in any business with a new manager.
