As soon as he wrote the post tragedy press release he had a job for life. It's as simple as that.

I complimented it at the time, it was incredibly well written, clearly a strength of his.

But he's good at absolutely nothing else.

I am not a fan of this guy at all, far, far from it. I agree he needs to go and the club have outgrown him and his poorly recruited team but I can’t see how he can be blamed for the Thai messaging.

Your boss says do something, you do it, we’ve all done it. It’s why I went self-employed in the end.

TBH the trust had a chance last season to go above him with lots of issues he’d caused but Ian et al bottled it and the FEF (Tonys baby) was agreed. We now have to fight that forever more.

Water cooler chat will 100% be “you’ve made it, you've got your own thread”

Colleagues will be saying “it’s awful” and then hitting refresh for the latest.

It would be extremely worrying, though not one bit surprising, if such senior staff members at the club would go out their way to censor this forum. I would expect Anthony to have far more important things to do with his time than actively seek to shut down online threads critiquing his performance. If he can't take the scrutiny, then he should resign from his position as a Director.

In these kind of jobs the bloke can only communicate what the company he's working for want him to communicate. Bit harsh to name and shame him.

I disagree. He "leads" fan engagement at board level so is directly accountable.

He is very senior and therefore he will be responsible for the strategies with all communications and the implementation across the club. He is very much in charge of what goes out, what doesn’t and the tone of voice.

He’s in a 6 figure salary role not an admin clerk.

If he was a standard employee of the club, then this would be a fair assessment. However, he's a Director and member of the board. He is the one in charge of this stuff, yes he might take the occasional order from Top with specific matters like the Thai military support. But overall communication strategy is absolutely on him & he will be making most of the decisions.

That’s how you’ve started the thread though, and like you say that’s very clearly only come from one person.

Fair enough to criticise the director of comms for our communication though, which has been absolutely non existent for a while.

Anyone know if he has a diary with current players / ex-players birthdays in them so he can get communications out to wish them a happy birthday.

Wishing former Foxes Ryan Bertrand and Scott Oakes a happy birthday for today! :scarf::P

I'd first like to know how the Owls fans talk to our club about a demonstration and get the go ahead.

But our fan groups get feck all or it takes months to get an answer.
