It would have been an easy deal to do for a Premier league London club: cover his remaining book value and £50k a week and he could have walked to a Brentford or Fulham. The fact that he didn't tells me what was evident last year - he isn't good enough for the Premier League anymore. The game has moved on with clubs enjoying physical powerhouses in the base of midfields. Spurs saw us coming with this guy and Skipp. Slow, small, one dimensional footballers.

He will wind down his handsome contract with us and then go to a London-based championship team on a much lower wages or maybe Italy where the game is slower. Whether or not he held up a sign or downed tools for Cooper, one thing is clear, since Marti came in his attitude and demeanor has been poor and he has been angling for a move which is why he hasn't played much.

How is it clear?....we don't know jack, it's all conjecture and supposition presented as fact as usual on here

Aperol Spritz, pulling out of tackles, not acknowledging fans, being picked behind Skipp & Soumare? Seems clear to me.

If his attitude is right and he wants to stay, why is he not in the team when he proved 2 years ago that he is elite at Championship level?

Er no. There was a photo of him drinking a cocktail while his team were getting d1cked by everyone in the Premier League and he did walk down the tunnel ignoring fans. That's fact. I won't jump on the not staying over at Seagrave angle because i think there are 2 sides to it.

Just a heads up, chat rooms are full of opinions and conjecture so maybe stay clear if you only want to read absolutes.

sorry to be a boblet but it would be impossible for Trump to serve a third term. It’s against the American constitution and to change the constitution he would need at least half of the democrats to vote for him aswell as all republicans..

A third term would be allowed under articles of war. FDR served 3 terms as WW2 was ongoing.

the 22nd amendment was ratified in 1951 to legally establish a 2 term limit.  There would be no  legal precedent for a 3rd term even if war broke out.

Wrexham have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Leicester City midfielder Harry Winks as the summer transfer window approaches. The Welsh club are continuing to show ambition in the market, and their interest in the former Tottenham player highlights their intent to strengthen significantly ahead of next season.

Leicester City’s position regarding a potential sale has also become clearer, with developments suggesting they may be open to letting the midfielder leave under certain circumstances. This situation has put Wrexham in a strong position compared to other interested clubs.

Ambition Remains High At Wrexham AFC
Wrexham’s rise in recent years has been backed by a willingness to invest heavily in the squad, and that approach is expected to continue regardless of how the current season concludes. The club’s ownership group has consistently shown a readiness to spend in order to achieve their long-term goal of reaching the Premier League.

If Wrexham, currently competing in the Championship, manage to secure a playoff spot and ultimately earn promotion, significant financial backing will be required to ensure they can compete at the highest level. Surviving in the Premier League would demand reinforcements across multiple positions.

On the other hand, if they fall short of promotion, it is still anticipated that the club will return to the transfer market with determination. In that scenario, the focus would be on building a squad strong enough to mount another serious push for promotion in the following campaign.

According to reports from Sports Boom, Wrexham are now at the forefront of the chase for Winks. The midfielder, who previously played for Tottenham Hotspur, joined Leicester City for a fee of around £10 million.

His future at the King Power Stadium appears uncertain, particularly given Leicester’s struggles this season. With relegation from the Championship becoming an increasingly realistic possibility, the club could face a significant squad overhaul.

In such a scenario, Winks may be among the players allowed to leave, especially if Leicester look to recover a portion of the transfer fee they initially paid. This has opened the door for clubs like Wrexham to step in and make their move.

Transfer Depends On Promotion Outcome

Wrexham’s level of interest in Winks could depend on how their season concludes. The report suggests that the club may be even more inclined to pursue the midfielder if they fail to secure promotion to the Premier League.

In that case, Winks would be viewed as an ideal addition for a Championship campaign, bringing experience, composure, and technical quality to the midfield. His profile fits the type of player needed to control games and guide a promotion push.

Conversely, if Wrexham do achieve promotion, their recruitment strategy might shift slightly toward players with proven top-flight pedigree, although Winks could still remain a viable option.

Long drive from London innit

If it was anyone else, I'd be complementing them on their poker face but there's every chance this is our actual position and we want to keep him.

Regardless of the extension I think he'll still move on this summer.

Probably on a season's loan to some French team, with us still paying the majority of his wages, until his contract expires.

Still worth it though - get him out.
