Leeds chairman just on MNF 'we'll spend as much as we can whilst complying with PSR, we will build a new Stadium, when I have got something to say I'll come out and say it and be open'.

Yeah maybe they fall flat on their arse but can you imagine Top having the balls to go on Sky and do an interview? He'd be lost without a chatgpt autocue.

its not like Vichai did loads of interviews either and no one gave a shit because things were going well

Leeds won't stay up with that team but I admire them trying and saying the right things

I must caveat my post though and say I don't blame people for still wanting to go. Whether it's just habit, a genuine love for it or the social aspect of it you can't tell people they shouldn't go.

I can get on board with us losing games as that's just football but I have to at least agree with or at least understand the direction we're going in

No i completely get you. And I wouldn't turn my nose up to people thinking differently.. all allowed an opinion.

My kids like going regardless so I still take them when its within budget to go and stay to the final whistle. I'll always support the team.. I just struggle with the club

If I remember correctly, was it not this clown running the club when KP first took over? Those first few months of Sven and signing after signing, then promotion never came, the purse strings got tighter and the old man took it off him due to the EFL ready to hit us with something.

I could be remembering wrong, but I'm sure that was the case and the evidence was there he had no clue, so all of what is happening now is no surprise.

Thread was deleted re is the club being sold...

You know the answer to ‘is the club being sold’ but keep persisting on starting topics with false/zero information or reasoning lol

It was a question! unless we don't have a voice anymore and cannot question the supreme leadership!

Maybe worth asking on one of the other 50 active topics related to the board then on this forum lol

That's a luxury you have when things are going well.  When they aren't, it wouldn't hurt to communicate to fans what actions are being taken to right the ship.

Unless of course there is no coherent plan or strategy to communicate.

All he's said is what people want to hear though. Words really mean nothing without action. For example, Marti's saying all the right things but then what we're seeing doesn't match up with his words so far.

I'm a fan of open regular communication and keeping fans informed so they can have realistic expectations.

Just coming out and saying "I'm going to buy players and a stadium" means nothing really though. I'd think even less of him if he came out and made hollow empty promises.

He's just not a leader, which isn't really the main issue. The main issue is that he doesn't realise or acknowledge it.

My protest is not buying a ticket and there’s others here that are not going either but we’ve got too many that are obviously happy with the way things are 🤷🏼

The strangest thing is the ‘defence’ of ‘it’s what I’ve always done though’ or ‘but my kid still wants to go’

I get it, but unless huge changes happen it’s not completely beyond the realms of possibility that your kid will grow up without him even having a club to support.

I have just re-read the Chairman’s message from the Sheffield Wednesday programme and aside from trying to decipher Anthony Herlihy’s poorly drafted word salad, if you read between the lines, I think we are going to see little to no signings, perhaps loans at best.

Here’s the relevant paragraph:

Despite the challenges of recent seasons, our ambitions as a Club remain and we are capable of achieving. Right now, we appreciate that to be realistic about our immediate position and that we need to rebuild a foundation that will lead to return to previous heights quickly, yet sustainably. Our squad is evolving and is building a new identity, with a strong connection from the Club’s Academy, and it’s important that fans know how important it is for you to feel represented by the players on the pitch and how important that connection will be in building the kind of home form that will lead us to future success.

I read this as the club planning to ‘rebuild’ relying on Academy players.

I read this as AI generated nonsense, has that really been published in the programme!?

So balancing  the books, no more spending bar what the club makes from sales, we are in for a decade of Championship football.

The sooner they are gone we will all be celebrating! That day cannot come soon enough. 🥳

90% agree, depending on who buys it. I want Top gone, but I dont want someone equally as bad or worse taking over
