The most worrying thing is about the speed in which we have declined. We got relegated off the back of finishing 5th, 5th and 8th. It’s not like we were flirting with relegation for a couple of years like most teams do before finally going down.

We’ve gone from having a 5/6 players who would each be worth over £40 million pounds to having only 2 players in our squad who are worth over £10 million.

I’m still seeing people want Rudkin out I do as well, but whilst Top & King Power are still here he isn’t going anywhere. The only way we get Rudkin out is by getting Top & his family out first.

A lot of it is still because we had a wage bill for a team finishing 5th to 8th in the Premier League. We’re still paying a price (literally and figuratively) for that.

Would love a detailed breakdown of what the “family” have done for the city in all honesty

Their charitable donations don’t seem any bigger or more generous than other similar sized organisations make

I get a different sense tbh. I think a *very* large chunk of our fans turn out because it's what they always do. It's something to fill a day; chance to have a natter. They're not engaged with what's going on on the pitch, and even less with what's happening off it. The Top/KP supporters are just a few nutters and wind-up merchants.

Great post. Absolutely this.

I think this is right and it's why I disagree with people who think that a spell of being properly shite will do us good because it'll drive away the more apathetic portions of the fanbase. The apathetic fans are exactly that - apathetic. They demonstrably couldn't really care less about who runs us, who the manager and players are and if results or performances are bad. They turn up, queue for their drinks, clap a bit, go home on 85 minutes because that is their routine and it won't change whether we're non-league or Champions League.

What's the difference between them? They are all ultimately complicit in the clubs downfall. Unless you actively turn up to the stadium to protest against the owner/board/players then you're ultimately complicit in the clubs downfall. Many believe that turning up to the stadium is supporting LCFC but it's actually just supporting KPFC!

But can you not see that by "turning up to the stadium to have a natter etc" is not helping the long term future of the club? How can anyone say they support LCFC by saying "it's a day out to have a natter"? To me that's genuinely mind boggling. Do we not support LCFC because we want the absolute best for this club? Is the best we can offer being turned over by the likes of PNE? The club is an absolute shit show and being run by complete muppets and the only way we see real change is by boycotting the club until the owner sells or accepts he's fcked up and sacks his board and hires competent people.

I don’t think he’ll look to sell the club outright if I’m honest. If a sale was in discussion or even close, you don’t sell key assets and de-value it.

With the challenges that King Power are currently facing and Aiyawatts role now being Chairman, he’ll have less impact on the day to day runnings of the business. We are all assuming what’s actually happening with King Power, however it’s clear they had a wobble and the ripples from that will undoubtedly impact ourselves.

What I can see happening now, is them trying to “right size” us so that we turn a profit. That in turn then makes us less competitive on the pitch unless we can keep a conveyor built of talent rolling out of Seagrave.

What is maybe more evident at this point is the couple of loans we took out more recently from the bank, are now most likely being used to cover running costs at the club. We haven’t re-invested money and with no rumours on us doing so, it’s debatable at this stage on whether we will.

We were rumour to have cut off £330k per week from the first team player bill in July when the likes of Vardy, Iversen, Ward, Eduoard, Buonanotte etc left.

We’ll potentially see Thomas, Stolarkzyk, Ricardo, Justin, Soumare, Daka, Ayew and Alves leave the club in 10 months time. Were most likely looking at another £500k a week with that lot.

To put that into perspective, that reduced the outgoings of the club by the best part of £40m+ per year.

It was made pretty clear everyone was for sale once we were relegated, so some of those may go earlier. We do have a bloated squad.

We are currently asset stripping the club in reality, as anyone with an ounce of talent will be moved on if we can make profit. This is why we’ll potentially see people move on for less than they’re valued at.

If the strategy is to cut the high earners and focus on talent we produce at Seagrave, then it would be nice to see us invest in some top quality coaches and scouts, and let us hear from them. The fans need to appreciate though that we’ll likely have a team full of inexperienced players and well Miranda around in the Championship and maybe even League One.

Worst case scenario is they liquidate Leicester City football club. The stadium is currently owned by another King Power shell company. It’s now apparent that we are not investing to grow that any further. If Seagrave gets moved or sold, that would also get the alarm bells ringing. I don’t think that will happen though, as we’ve still got a steady income stream.

I believe the model was always to get us into the Premier League to promote King Power. We were a massive advert in one way. That goal has been achieved and we are now just a burden which they want to downsize and let tick along, potentially breaking even at best.

They want more Leicester fans to call in tomorrow if you hear Sutton at the very end of the call

Get on it.

Your were great :appl:

The presenters were pathetic though. Completely side stepped your point about what would they have said if you’d said 5 years ago this is where we would be, refer to Aiyawatt as a little boy and then call you disingenuous at the end for the donut and beer comment.

Not a criticism as you spoke fantastically well and made the points we all say on here, but I would have just had to pull them up on the little boy (he is 40) comment as that was laughable.

The reason I am sure they sidestepped and didn’t answer the point about 5 years ago to now is because they know the answer to that….

There was so much more I wanted to say, and did say to the researcher.

How Sky might’ve been paid off to not show the airplane banner last season

The bans members of supporters are receiving, mainly because of being a bit outspoken against the ownership

I might’ve even likened us to North Korea and also Michael Carroll (that chav millionaire)

Haha all good points. I get they have a limit on caller time so I think you got a lot of good content in.

The other thing I noticed, and it’s something I have thought about when comparisons with Wednesday are made, when they said the stadium is good. The Walkers was a new stadium, 6/7 years old when KP arrived. You can already see lack of maintenance in the ground. If we still had Filbert Street (build 1891 compared to Hillsborough in 1899 but same era), the situation would be the same as lack of care and maintenance is just that, we are just fortunate that our ground is newer from before KP than Wednesday are.

So that was another nonsense point from them as an attempt to defend Aiyawatt.

Yes. Agree with every word you say

@Clogger_ was correct in saying that a large portion of the crowd aren't KP fans as such, just idle (and as such complicit)

Natter. To get out the house. The ol' heartbreak excuse of 'only chance I get to bond with my son'. And the lame 'been seeing the same fella next to me for years, I can't let him down'

Respectfully, and I’m really happy to be proven wrong on this or it argued another way, but this is what you do if you’re bringing more cash in for the accounting value of that asset, you’re boosting the balance sheet to make it look better for sale. Not reinvesting into playing staff also then increases the cash to debt value.

Im convinced Top wants out. Maybe partially, but I suspect fully. There’s been nothing from him over the summer, and at the very least we usually see him try and insert himself into pictures at pre-season or with new managers. Absolutely **** all this summer.

They cannot afford to bankroll us anymore, KP is in the mud and he’s been chucked out of that too. He’d either be turning that into full steam ahead with Leicester City, or look to live a cushty rich lifestyle around his family. I don’t see anything to suggest he’s tried to grab the steering wheel here and turn things around, which you could argue he did last time we got relegated

No one is going to buy the club with the state of the accounts and wage bill, could be why we have not brought anyone in and are trying to bring the books down in order to allow a sale.

A lot of the fans are as problematic as the owner, genuinely.

they are counted as :

1) anyone who has bought a ST this season

2) anyone who has bought merch

3) anyone who buys drink/food at the ground

4) anyone who claps the players off - example y’day.

that is what there has been no change, there isn’t enough impact - imagine a ground with 5,000 people in it? Think of the pressure for change then, every journo and his dog would be speaking about it.

as a fan base, a good proportion aren’t helping the situation whatsoever. Until this changes - nothing changes.

such a passive, clappy fanbase who are fertilising the rot, literally.

**** off.
