5th the season before mind you.  I am not saying he is the best in the world, but he is being employed at an elite level.  Whether Forest are patient enough I doubt, but he has a good enough track record to deserve a chance.

They were down to just picking the first 11 people into the ground with injuries tbf. He's a competent enough manager

I think if Forest had gone from an attack-minded manager who'd built a squad suitable for a high line and constant waves of attacks, the appointment would make sense.

But this is the equivalent of going from Enzo to Dyche after spending £200m building a squad for Enzo and then expecting Dyche to implement his style with possession players without a preseason or even a transfer window.

Bear in mind as well their first fixture is at Arsenal away, where they seemingly get bummed every year, and quickly follow it up with a home game against a flying Sunderland which will be hot on the heels of a tricky Europa League opener away at Betis. His September could be a proper baptism of fire.

Can’t stand this over the top media love in of Forest. Just seen Henry Winter on East Midlands today discussing it. Can’t remember them ever having much interest in us when we were doing well.
Forest have 1 decent season and there are everywhere. Fvck off Forest!!!

In fairness, our Premier League winning season made headlines around the world and we became everyone's second favourite club overnight. Mentioned in Parliament, on every news channel and totally inescapable.

Believe me, as much as they pretend otherwise and may even claim they were pleased for us and cheering us on, they hated every single minute.

Because he ran them into the ground. You can’t excuse injuries when your approach causes them. This is the guys who continues a high line when left with 9 players who admitted after the game ‘it’s what we do’. The guys a fraud and a reason why he won’t manage an elite club. After he f@cks up at forest he will be done.

Looking forward to his first dejected interview where he stares at the ground like the world is swallowing him up.

It's worth pointing out that Forest had remarkable luck with injuries last season as well. A long-termer to any of Sels, Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Gibbs-White, Elanga or Wood could have been disastrous then and could be now. For all of the signings, they haven't shored up enough with quality CBs who could deputise particularly well and still look a bit thin at the back.

I think you're probably right about his record in the sense of him managing in Australia and Japan, hardly top drawer leagues, before his 'big break' being at a big club in a poor league that they had already dominated for a decade.

He's had one decent season in a top league with getting Tottenham to fifth, but last season was laughably, laughably awful. Even we outplayed them at THS. Winning a Europa League that was historically weak doesn't mask it.

And that's before we get on to the fact that his style couldn't be much further removed from the low block, counter-attacking and efficient style Nuno had success with and built the squad for.

For me, Ange doesn't last the season. If he does, he'll preside over a slump and no European football qualification and the 'I always win a trophy in my second season' won't be tested because Marinakis will give him the boot.

Didn’t Henry Winter move to Leicester because of us? I don’t think there’s a love in. Plus neutrals hate Forest now because of the Palace situation

There’s still people who don’t think that Marinakis is a crook. A guy who spits in referees faces, confronts his clubs greatest manager in 50 years after a plucky draw v massive Leicester, then pushes him out. And that’s just football. Imagine stuff that actually matters like people smuggling and importing heroin into Europe through ports.

It’s more that a local tv news station puts more effort imo on 1 decent season than it ever seems to do with us.
The fact that the fat twat thinks they’ll be challenging for trophies is ridiculous and hilarious.
I can see Nuno going somewhere like west ham and them finishing higher than forest.

His stock is higher than that, I think.

Especially considering he's just been paid off on the vast majority of a three year contract and can afford to bide his time a bit.

I just think he’ll want to stay in this country.
Prove a point to Forest. Can’t see the so called top 6 coming in for him. So wouldn’t surprise me seeing end up somewhere like west ham.

It'd be one hell of a coup for them, and I'd back them to finish above Forest if they did.

I try to be rational in my hatred for them, but they've had an extraordinary run of luck for a while..

A fortunate play off win (which can happen, it's 50/50 after all). Then all sorts of crash bang wallop goals under Cooper after being largely outplayed in most games. Then a four point deduction coinciding with a woeful promoted three. Even we'd have stayed up. Then, last season, fsirnokay they were decent before fluffing Europe. Lo and behold, they are the beneficiary of the first ever European tournament 'swap' with Palace..

I guess after 25 years of being utter garbage the luck condenses itself into three seasons

They had their share of luck last season as well through virtually no injuries to key players and wildly outperforming their xG regularly. It was only towards the end of the season that the latter trend faded away a bit.

Florist fans need to make their minds up...

Now they are saying well actually I'm glad Nuno has gone (even though hes been their best manager for years and they all loved him before the int break)

And all of sudden big Ange is the best thing since sliced bread even thought they were saying "no way do we want Ange" before the break and they think hes gonna win them the Europa league cos he won it at Spurs.

As always deluded and ignorant, he'll be gone after Christmas.....

Always been the same with them lot. Whatever they do, it's the right decision. 25 years being shit? All part of the masterplan. Their faith is unshakeable.

On another note, who knew Nuno was categorised as a black manager? I didn't. I swear his skin colour has never once, not even slightly, subconsciously or curiously, crossed my mind.

Thats a very good point, no where before has his skin colour been mentioned, or even crossed anyones mind as you say but the powers that be have to stir it up and now trying to turn it into a racial matter.

Its like no one cared about his skin colour before but all of a sudden its a problem, which I believe has been orchastrated by certain news outlets, jesus, its no wonder we keep going over the same racial matters over and over again.  Its like they are trying to blame a certain set of people for his sacking beacuse of his skin colour.  I just thought he was Portuguese!!
