Horror show from Hamza when he came on lol

Looking forward to Ramsey being back so we can put him as the 10, drop James back alongside Winks and say bye to Soumare.

Thomas never players the ball forward either, he’s so, so frustrating to watch.

Stephy shot of confidence, Monga to start the next one vs WBA.

It’s a point and they had very few chances, onwards and upwards.

I didn’t think we played to bad seem to keep the ball better at times than we have other than the few occasions near the end. Mavadidi needs to get his head clear and back to doing what he did the last time we where in the championship and if he can’t then monga should start a few games in a row to see how he gets on. Ayew is pointless as a forward and slows any attackers we have down. Didn’t think cov were that great and play against a team with a decent striker they probably lose that today.

Bouba was fine but he is the safest player in the team. He looks for the easiest pass every single time, which is why his mistakes always look horrendous.

Does not have the courage to break a line with a pass, switch it, take on a man. I think he has the ability which is the infuriating thing. It would free up Winks even further if he was a a threat.

Ayew is just frustrating, every week is the same picks it up in a good position, does something well, then holds on to it for 20 seconds longer than he should then he loses it

It’s mind blowing… just release the ball!

Was he? He was incredibly slow to release the ball numerous times and is generally just a negative player in the attack

Yes, Soumare was fine, not being clinical is why we didn't win

Another grim performance in what seems like an eternity of grim performances.

the only difference now is we aren’t fluking our way to 3 points like we did at the start of the season.

onwards and downwards

I think we played ok and especially second half played good football - just cannot finish.

if we start scoring more we get promoted. If we continue to not be able to hit a barn door we won’t. Need Caranza to lead the line for now on

We were the better team. Their keeper was Sky’s man of the match. Pretty much nullified their attack and stopped Sky spaffing over the “entertainers” of the division 😂

We will be alright. Feels like things are slowly but surely getting there. Frustrating at times for sure, but on another day we’ve won that 3-0 with the chances we’ve had. James looks like he’ll be good.

Just too many weak links, lack of support, for wingers, lethargic build, Hamza, Thomas, Mavididi were dreadful. Soumare even worse.

What are you expecting from Soumare? lol

He was nice and dull, so fine.

Thought we were okay, we have something to build on from today, but once against we have a poor 30-40 mins in the first half, we had a lot of shots but didn't manage to create that many clear cut chances, and when we did we fluffed it.
Dominated the game overall, but Coventry were nowhere near as good as they have played this season, some of that is down to how we dealt with them and some is down to them just being off today. Overall It's frustrating because the football isn't as chaotic as I was hoping from an entertainment perspective, and we just don't create enough great chances, 17 shots today, 9 on target and we should have won comfortably.

Ayew is a good player as this level, he holds the ball up well and often puts in good passes and contributions in transition but he's just not an out and out goalscorer, IMO he should be a sub, bring him on when we are winning and want to slow the game down when the opposition start to build into the game later on, we need to be playing someone who can run at teams from minute 1 and grab us a goal.
Mavididi probably needs a couple of games as a sub as it's just not clicking for him yet.

I was expecting possession football from Marti but I was also expecting chaotic games where we win 5-3 or 4-2 because we press hard, attack in numbers then maybe leave ourselves open at the back, so far this season it's been nowhere near entertaining imo. But I am someone who absolutely detests the modern obsession with keeping the ball at all costs and much prefer the Klopp style of football.

Coventry probably had the easiest start to the season in the divison
