I love hipster names, I love passing football. Enzo was my ideal manager appointment at the time, as you may tell.

But we don’t need that right now. Last thing we need is someone that fans haven’t heard of, making their way in the game, and is going to play football that resembles Ruud/Cifuentes and maybe even Maresca (not that I’d agree).

I could see us going for Carlos Carvahal.

I’d be happy with this, or Jon Dahl Tomasson

They'll dump it on Andy King because he's here and they won't have to pay someone else to do the same job. I feel sorry for him if it happens. You know he won't want to turn it down even if he should.

Said this a couple of weeks ago, but for the love of god can we stop saying it will be Russell Martin. They know full well the fanbase would burn the ground down and would be the final nail in their coffin.

We all know its going to be Russell Martin.

Have got the previous 3 appointments drastically wrong.

need a Manager who knows the league and will set standards that these players have not had for ages.
Might not be popular but Gary Rowett could be an option.
out of work, knows the league. Can work on a budget. Has done well at previous clubs. Focus on results and not having to play possession as it is popular.

Nigel Pearson i'm not sure if his health is up to another management job, but no doubt he's still in communication with TOP he may look at him in terms of interim.

NP as interim with a position as Technical Director would be the priority right now, sadly can't see it happening due to his reported health struggles, but if it was on the table i'd make him #1.

they're arguably too arrogant to care about our responses though.

I'd go Mark Robins. I've suggested him before previous appointments and I've seen nothing to change my mind.

Former player. Knows the league. Needs an opportunity at a club that could actually get promoted. Did a lot of the ground work for Lampard at Coventry without the money to spend. And he has done it again at Stoke.

Would be keen to know how well Pearson is, even if it was just well enough to come in and help out Kingy.

I wouldn't be against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tbh. He's got a great attitude, has high standards, United fans often comment how he produced the best football they've seen since Fergie. Not the biggest success at united in terms of the league progression as they were struggling when he left, but in his 2 full seasons finished third and second, and they have arguably gone backwards since he left.
He's hit and miss but I'd take him over MC.

Again, another one that wouldn’t touch us

we need to stop thinking a half decent manager would want to come into this mess - think someone like Robins probably a good scoop, I don’t think either Gerrard would want the job

we are really, really in the shit

He can’t stand Top and doesn’t like Rudkin, he has glowing reports for Susan Wheelan who obviously isn’t still here. He isn’t coming back

Yeah I completely get that, but OGS did say he would come to the champ for the right project, this summer we will be in a big reset position.
I also think we need to go for some of these pie in the sky names, Bielsa would never have joined Leeds if they didn't go for him, Cambiasso to us.

We are in trouble right now, but we are weathering the storm and hopefully if we are sensible (LOL) we can get back on a decent footing. Robins would be a great appointment though.

I feel that it will be very difficult for us to attract a manager that's notably better than Cifuentes.

Which isn't saying he's any good, just that getting someone better would be a major coup

Simply cannot hire a manager that broke two of the worst records in history.

Coached the only team to ever lose 9-0 at home.

Coached the only team to ever lose 9-0 away.

And hes still twice the manager we have now
