The players and recruitment staff he identified to bring in were mostly useless and he couldn't repeat the previous season's performances, with players suddenly underperforming. There's a reason he's a journeyman. He didnt bring anyone in, the club buys the players. Usually linked to an agent. They also lost all their best players in the summer which has left them in the shit Edited 28 January by South Shire Fox
HankMarvin Posted 28 January Posted 28 January Picking a manager that started the season with 2 points from 30 and got pumped is a bit of a risk for this team low on confidence and that are already shit 2
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 28 January Popular Post Posted 28 January If we want an experienced European manager than surely Carlos Carvahal is as good as anyone for that? Probably the last half decent season Sheffield Wednesday have had an'all. 7

Spudulike Posted 28 January Posted 28 January Wonder if the Rangers fans have still got this banner? They might donate given that we have a link with them. 1 1

Probably the last half decent season Sheffield Wednesday have had an'all. Maybe; can't see him jumping at it. We need to sell someone the dream and show them some clips of Abdul's highlights and give the other players the day off when he visits the training ground. 2
JimJams Posted 28 January Posted 28 January If it's not one of Russell Martin, Will still or Ralph Hassenhutl, I'm not sure I even understand what we're trying to do anymore. 2

He’s not much better to be fair, yea wolves had the new manger bounce last season with him but the 3 teams that went down were pretty pathetic not really a great achievement! And this season he was heading for the worst ever premier league club display! This bloke fills me with no confidence

Championship experience is a fallacy a good manager can manage at this level, I think Vitor would be far better than Rowett. Enzo himself and our circumstance were pretty rare.

The bar is incredibly low being better then Coleman or Rowett, I under stand it’s not all down to the manger how Crap wolves were but it’s the same argument as us, it’s the mangers job to get results, but yea unfortunately I keep forgetting we are not going to get much better who ever comes in
Popular Post TheGoldenGod Posted 28 January Popular Post Posted 28 January Think VP is a stinker personally. A horrid track of clubs, never settled anywhere and has a bad temperament. In what world is that a recipe for success here? 5
Hamilton Fox Posted 28 January Posted 28 January First question in any interview should be ‘are you going to play Luke Thomas?’ If the answer is yes bin them off and move on to the next
EnderbyFox Posted 28 January Posted 28 January Out of the names linked/suggested so far, i'd go for this order of preference 1) Nigel 2) Lee Carsley 3) VP 95) Russell Martin 364) Gary Rowett 553) Chris Coleman

Well we're not in one at the minute? 17th in form table, not great, not absolutely dreadful either - there are plenty of teams doing worse than us, on fewer points. As I said, closer to the playoffs than the relegation zone. Obviously a pts deduction changes the outlook, but we don't know what that will be.

No surprise Bertrand had a problem with a manager having discipline, more than happy to sit on the bench collecting a wage rather than actually fall in line and do what the manager asks, and what a refreshing change it would be to see a manager come in and get rid of all of the 30+ players. MancFox24 Posted 28 January Posted 28 January I'd question the motivation of anyone who took this job at the minute. Completely disjointed and unbalanced squad, players who don't want to be here, no funds to recruit, disgruntled fanbase, looming points deduction, relegation battle. The only people who take it are either desperate for a job or looking for a pay day
