Deeg67 Posted 11 February Posted 11 February De Zerbi out at Marseilles! And it’s no less realistic than Enzo…
bovril Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Can we not mention Dean ****ing Smith. Wasn't necessarily his fault but it didn't work last time and wouldn't work now. 2
Dan Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Anybody with any aspiration should keep well away from it. I think you're looking at the type where Allardyce went to Leeds - he knew the game was up and just fancied a few more games. Anybody who has any real ambition or intention of making it in the game should avoid this like the plague. It will chew you up and spit you out. I think to somebody like Skubala - he'd earn life changing money, but it would probably only be for six months. It depends how willing you are to cash in your career.
Dmitry Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Five managers since Enzo left, and we are dropping faster than a lead balloon. This lot doesn't need a new manager, it is longing for a messiah.

As soon as that deduction was announced and official I reckon 90% of the squad will have been discussing exit strategies with their representatives for this summer. Whoever is manager is going to be working with a group of players where the majority are either running down contracts or looking at their next move and how they get out of this shitshow. Aiyawatt and Rudkin have thrown a club legend and rookie coach under the bus to protect themselves, left him to pick up the prices and deal with the fall out of the last 2 weeks, whilst they continue to destroy the club from the inside. I really hope Kingy walks this morning to protect his own reputation and legacy at this club because he doesn’t deserve to tarnish his time with our club because of this group of players or the DoF and owner above. The standards of this club are absolutely rock bottom and this is all as a consequence of Aiyawatt and Rudkins inability to swallow their pride and step back and appoint the right people to take this club forward. Self preservation society is killing my club. 8

If he delivered the same level of improvement he did last time, we would end up with around 50 points and stay up. 1

Self preservation society is killing my club. This. I was thinking this last night. Kingy press conference with RL he sounded angry and frustrated. He would gain a lot of respect by doing this. He's been thrown to the wolves because he's a legend and they thought that would be a buffer and get fans inside. 0 points out of 9 and with a Blackburn win Saturday, we will be in the relegation zone. Just walk away, Kingy. For your own sake
JimmyC74 Posted 11 February Posted 11 February No one of note is coming to us in our situation- unless Top throws a bucket of cash at someone and even then interest would be limited. Kingy is in an awful position, wants the best for the Club but lacks the experience and motivational power of an O’Neil to drive performances from the pits of where we are. I fear Top and co will ruin him as they have our Club.
Raj Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Does anyone really expect THIS BOARD to make a successful appointment? We got lucky with Enzo. The rest of the dross is what you would expect from a Rudkin Top dream team. 2
fox_favourite Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Is there a realistic manager replacement? I genuinely don't think there is. No one wants it. Rudkin doesn't know what he's doing.

Certainly showed some effort and fight Edited 11 February by South Shire Fox

They’ll probably send us down on the final day if we’re not already down by then. 1
Sly Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Any new manager wants his own entire back room team to come with him. During the last however mag appointments, that hasn’t really been allowed to happen. If you’re coaching your coaches on your philosophy, at the same time as the players, it’s going to take longer. I don’t think it’s we are not looking, more the fact no one wants the job.
Popular Post Claudio Fannieri Posted 11 February Popular Post Posted 11 February What makes me smile is the complete lack of proactive succession planning. Most clubs will be watching and monitoring a number of managers and have a shortlist of 5/6 targets at any given time. Yet here we are at LCFC where we sack a manager and then appear to start from scratch with a quick google search of “out of work managers with EFL & EPL experience’ and then take it from there. fecking amateur 10

There is no chalice more poisoned than ours in the entire league. So yes, you’re probably right that nobody will take it. 4
dooflip Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Southgate drifted out now to 22-1. It was nice while it lasted. 1
jonny_wright Posted 11 February Posted 11 February Can we just have a manager that can organise a defence for once, it’s been a decade

The King Power list will go something like Southgate, Maresca, Amorin, De Zebri, Ancelotti, Zidane, Alonso They’ll also wonder why no one is remotely interested, when agents know that we are an absolute basket case and about as self aware as a hedgehog. 1

Much like the team that got us relegated from the Prem the first time around. The culture in the club stinks The only chance we have got of getting a decent manager is if he agrees to the job on the basis that he brings his own Technical Director with final say on recruitment & contracts. That would take 80% of the footballing decisions from the owners. But does that just let Khunt off and bury the problem?
damolcfc Posted 11 February Posted 11 February King power thinking we are still a big club in the premier league Illusions of grandeur again springs to mind 1
FrankieADZ Posted 11 February Posted 11 February do not be surprised if we get an appointment today/tomorrow morning after last night wouldnt shock me if it was Pearson, just to try and get the fans back on side and take the heat off themselves
Nobbyburton Posted 11 February Posted 11 February (edited) If Blackburn take Rowett and beat us to send us down on the last day, just add it to the long list of unbelievable yet completely ****ing predictable events that have happened to us recently. It seems finding new ways of taking embarrassment to another level is the only thing we’re focussing on atm. Edited 11 February by Nobbyburton 1
