We're on a hell of a downward flywheel spiral here.

We're already struggling to recruit, yet the more we lose, the more inevitable League One is, and the more inevitable League One is, the less likely we are to attract a competent upwardly mobile candidate.

Once we enter the relegation spots, with our form record, we're going to be stuck with a reluctant, increasingly depressed and unfairly targeted Andy King until the summer... at least...

King Power Out.

Maybe, but on the other hand, a relatively big club at its lowest ebb might be just the thing an upwardly mobile manager might be looking for.

Blimey ! How things have changed. It doesn't seem that long ago that most of us would have turned up our nose at Dyche. Shows how far we have fallen

We wont even get Dyche because I don't think he's going to want to come here now. And this is another problem, this job is now so difficult for a manager like Dyche it could be a serious hammer blow to their career and lower their opportunities at shots at jobs at the lower end of the Prem or promotion chasing Championship sides.

We didn't need to hire a manager like Ciufentes in the summer but we chose to, and now we are in a position where his kind of ilk are the only ones that are going to have any interest in the role.

Another wonderful failure in decision making by the board.

Why though.....taking emotion out of it what credentials does Andy King have to take a clearly highly difficult job like this on and not massively struggle.

He's just a tool to try and get some fan sympathy going. Frankly he deserves better than being given this to take on, he can't really turn down it down as it's a chance to get his foot on the managerial ladder and prove something but the reality is it's just a badly poisoned chalice for someone with his level of experience that could do him more harm than good.

Agree with this.  He, is a patsy for Rudkin and Top who has been hung out to dry.  I actually feel sorry for King.  A man with no managerial experience at all and to be frank hardly any coaching experience.  Under Top and Rudkin it really is a shit show.

If someone isn’t announced today then it’s a very real possibility, as we all feared, that King will still be in charge while the board twiddle their thumbs on the 16th Feb.

Its still a good job for any manager that backs themself. Just imagine what an absolute legend you would be if you could turn this ship around and helped set us on the path to a sustainable future. I agree we are looking in the wrong pot, we want an up coming manager with  new ideas not washed up hasbeens. Of course Rudkins list is only so long.

Where do they live?

The Park in Notts, so not far from Fatawu’s flat above the City Ground…

It's not, at all, not ones with a reputation to uphold

1) No money, poor financial setup

2) Poor squad morale and attitude

3) Poor leadership above you

4) High expectations that Leicester should  be doing far better than this and steering them to safety would be seen as expected in a lot of quarters

5) A fanbase that is divided and in some quarters desperate to totally figuratively burn the club down and rebuild it

Horrible job with very little to gain and a lot to lose.

With the fa cup this weekend it would have been perfect to get someone in now before the next league game . But I doubt it will be anyone but king now . Southampton result was worse than the Charlton one for any kind of confidence the team had so It’s not looking good for us

Actually forget that, I've totally mis-read it! I think it's Anderlecht who are announcing the new manager not that their current head coach is leaving

Right now though? When they will almost certainly get a relegation on their CV? Even a few weeks ago they might have fancied themselves, but a couple more losses and sitting in 22nd they would have to be a bit mad and furiously back themselves to try it.

In the summer it changes somewhat, but even then, who is this mythical beast, and do we trust what passes as our current executive suite to find them?

Exactly. Rudkins 'shortlist' consists of Southampton cast offs and has-beens that may have been a good appointment several years ago.

Forest will have a new manager before us, and they're ran awfully

I agree thy will. We are both run awfully, just in different ways.

Think forest will sack their next before we have hired ours.

Any manager that backs themself doesn't care about any of that. That's part of backing oneself!

A lot depends on how much interference there is from above.

If you know the details, managers can work with little resource, the club just need to be honest about that, work in the something to prove market, works with free transfers, young players, non league, there is bargains for a good team to find. Id be demanding some say in recruitment as its clear our current recruitment is unimaginative. Focus on the strengths of the players we have instead of being wedded to s style and formation the clearly doesn't work.

I think most fans are realistic about expectations especially now, the vast majority just want to see a team that goes out there and tries its best, if the manager is honest and sells it as a long term project, says what needs to be done, what the problems are and how he is going to solve them people will get on board with that and be patient.

I think a lot of fans are disappointed with the lack of accountability, there are those with blind faith. If people started being honest, stopped repeating the same mistakes that haven't worked fans would get behind that. It needs a clear out.

I'd take Dyche at least he has a lot of experience and would probably keep us up at least, I don't think any other Prem club comes in for him now.

But would Jordan James sign?

Well he was going to sign for the useless fraud Marti. I imagine he will get better offers particularly if we are in league 1

Spurs could take him on an interim basis until the end of the season

We can't afford a fancy name right now. Proven relegation scrapper or bust
