Scott Parker probably free soon I imagine

We'd struggle to afford a constant supply of chewing gum for him :dunno:

He wanted to retire a couple of years ago but Top wanted him to stay on

We will waste weeks try to get someone unattainable, than pick someone ramdom.

It's a repeat of the summer.

We’ve already wasted several weeks so hopefully we are at the pick someone random stage, at this point we just need an actual manager to get a week in before the next two

Just get Rowett in ffs

So boring

Such a ****ing stupid situation

Just get it done, and get on with it

Looking at Rowett’s record and where we are, it’s the most obvious decision for this club in 5 years. He did a similar job at Birmingham. Good job at Derby and Millwall.

He isn’t blockbuster etc. but we could do a lot worse in our current predicament.

What contract would you give him, wage & length wise?

No compo needed? Check

Fans would get behind? Check

Can rebuild a club in it's lowest ebb? Check

Loves the club and would come back? Check

I would give him until the end of the season with a bonus if we stay up. Then the option for 18 months. But if I'm honest if we go down, he might be the best person for that as well.

I still think Dean Smith or big Nige are the best options. Dean Smith might be a push. I just can't see Dyche and others mentioned coming to this mess.

Rowett has dealt with worse squads and kept them up, Oxford being the more recent. He knows this league as well.

Well fxxk me, that horribly incentivizes him to keep us up don't it?! lol

Realistic though lol

I never said I was a genius. I would put myself forward, but I've just been sacked from Leicester for finishing mid table.

I think he takes 6 months. And I think in our position, we offer that. I wouldn’t be against giving him 18 months though. Anything more than that, no.

Ok then, given that our PSR troubles are behind us, to an extent, give him a normal 2 year contract, and a reasonable buy off clause, when we need to ditch him.
It really isn't that difficult.
Our hierarchy is a joke. Shambles.

Correct. What made me think this is when he was going to get the Blackburn gig, I thought 'shit, that gives them the edge over us' - so now, we can have him

Took over with the club in trouble and got relegated to League 1 you mean?

Rowett as manager and Nigel as DoF and Kingy as Coach with Salder, a new set piece coach, new fitness coach and a new up and up and  coming Goal keeping coach.

Then give Nigel the responsibility to rebuild the analysis team and let's go again.

I live in dream cococo land

Spot on

Other positives with Rowett

- He knows this division inside out

- He's kept (worse than us) teams up in this league (ideal gig for him. He's a championship fire fighter)

- His win percentage is pretty good, around 40%
- He's an ex Leicester player

- The fans would rally behind him

- He's worked with currently our best CB
