Schoolboy error really though.... you distract the fly away from anything expensive and smash the **** as soon as it's on a flat, solid, clear surface.

You don't need to be a TV engineer to know how a modern TV works. 

 

The LCD/LED panel is most likely damaged internally, resulting in loss of picture and display functionality. The panel will require replacement.

If it were me (and I rarely whip electrical equipment with rags) but if it were me, I’d be inclined to stick some goggly eyes on the broken area and just get used to it being a character that’s now in everything I watch.
