Daka wont score another goal for us.

However, wherever he goes next (after his contract runs out - and will be a top tier league outside of England), he will score over 20 goals in a season and be regarded as one of the best strikers in the division. He will also score loads of belters.

I think that’s a given,  we ruin everyone 😂

I would argue the hot take is from the tiny number of people putting him in that bracket tbh, rather than your opposition to it.

The broad, borderline universal consensus would be that he was a bit boring and underachieved with the squad he had but oversaw a period of transition. Not that he was one of the worst managers we've ever had.

I agree.
I don’t think he was one of the best either.
I just think he was what was needed at the time and imo he did well.

Agree on Fofana and was going to write something similar. People underestimate how good he was for us because of what a dickhead he is. Put in two of the finest performances I've seen from a Leicester defender firstly in the cup final and then against PSV. We missed him perhaps as much as Kasper although obviously he was never going to stay.

I want to agree with your second choice just because he is Bulgarian but... no. Very cultured defender but was playing one maybe two leagues below his level at the time. Nowhere near Elliott, Huth, Evans or Fofana.

I'm half joking with Tunchev, but like you say he looked so good because he was playing a standard below his level, had he not been crocked he'd of ended up in the prem with or without us

Had Puel had Tieleman's from the start of the season I think he'd have been our manager for a lot longer and we'd have put together one of the best young teams in Europe. Assuming him and Macia stayed in position.

I’m always undecided but I think Glover probably is a good scout and HoR - it’s just he operates under Rudkin

Ruud wasn’t a bad manager.

He was brought into the club with the aim of staying in the premier league. To do this he was given a below-standard championship squad who were all earning well over what they should have been, and a general attitude of “we’re too good to be here” (they weren’t) or “we don’t want to be here”.

He tried to sort the attitude problem out e.g. he tried to make Harry Winks stay over at the training ground for one night a week and was met with disgust and dismay.

No manager in world football would have kept us up. He was destined to fail. He was given a task to complete and told to complete it with no tools, no help and a pathetic group of so called “football players”.

Monga isn't really comparable to Alves is he though, other than both coming through our academy. Monga has played in the prem and scored and assisted in the Championship before he's 17.

Agreed I just thought he’d absolutely rip it up this season

Fair enough, this team does proper stink though lol

It does - that isn’t going to help. He has shown glimpses of brilliance still - just thinking of a generational talent like Rooney when he was 16/17 - he would have shone at this level even in a deadbeat team like ours.

Time is on Monga’s side

People have been saying this about Alves for the past 3 seasons.

I didn’t see anyone say that about Alves! And would be certainly a stupid thing to say considering he’s been crippled for more than a season

Huth was better than Fofona

For us. Fofana had more potential than any Leicester player I've seen, just hasn't reached it.
