Last Saturday morning we'd have taken the last three results and 8 points from two difficult away fixtures and a tough (on paper) home game.

I reckon that's a crafty way to nullify the impending deduction.

Very pleasing and surprising result. Really enjoyable first half for obvious reason but also because it looked like every player was focused on the task. We started the second half well. At half time I was thinking of the last time I enjoyed a half like that.

My issue is the Hamza for Bobby sub. It was the 65th minute and the passage of play just before that was the lovely cross from James that nearly led to a chance. We were the team on top. The manager by making that sub on the 65th minute not only removes our 10 (and a very effective 10 at this level) but also means James moves into a position he isn’t the best at. James in the 6/8 is one of the best in this division, he’s no where near effective in the 10.  We hand the initiative over to a side who were on the ropes by one switch.

We let teams back in because of this switch and I just get frustrated with the manager.

all said and done, that first half was very positive. As was the first v Derby. The players are playing for us. And we are 8th. Just sort this issue out - and we remain dominant for 75/80 mins and not 30/40 we are currently seeing.

3-1 v an in form Ipswich is not joke and deserves a lot of credit.

Page for BDR would have been a better option.

Just re the in form comment. I saw the last 6 for both sides ahead of today.

Lei - 3x wins, 1 draw and 2 losses

Ips - 3x wins. 2 draws and 1 loss

So there wasn’t much in it.

Several candidates for MOTM there.

(Clue - it wasn't Stolarczyk  )

James still indispensable - player of the season by a street, so far.

Skipp put in some very good defensive work and the goal against wasn't his fault.

Luke and Ricky had their best games for a while. Nelson again solid.

BDCR with another goal, and a pearler at that, worked hard and was part of a lot of our good stuff in the first half.  Can't be dropped at present.

Abdul Fatawu, for that goal, which you won't tire of seeing, probs gets MOTM, though.

We are technically not in bad form either. Especially not on paper. Perhaps not as flowing as we want to be.

Fantastic performance.

Nelson and Skipp the standouts (bar Fatawu’s GOTS).

When we get some players back and a couple of clever additions we’ve got a positive end of the season to look forward to. 💙🦊

Reid is playing well in that role.  He looks keep the ball moving forwards and has a knack of being in the right place to shoot first time. I’m impressed with his application. Wish Page was brought on quicker for him as a tired Ayew isn’t great playing deeper.

What was it 8 players on the pitch at the end who came through our academy?

Stolarczyk, Nelson, L.Thomas, S.Thomas, Hamza, Page, Kasey and Hirst?

Great that.

Didn't they have Kipre as well?

They did.

We signed him from PSG. Not sure if we can claim that? 9 sounds better though 👀😂
