Like I said LCFC will know the impact with the true crowd figure.

It’s all about media leverage early doors

but most will be down to people who cant be arsed, not the boycott, thats my point

boycott dudes should be outside the ground.

Again dont think it will be more than 400

in a crowd of say 25K is roughly 1.6%

You need someone with some reach to organize it like Union FS esp if they are boycotting tonight

They've said before they can't be the sole source of this, they're not as big as some suggest. They need help sorting and organising these things

Absolutely, and if they choose to ignore it -  passing it off as the impact of cold weather, TV or bad form - then that just reaffirms their ineptitude to be managing a football club of this size.

The whole thing is like the mother of your children spending all your money (and more) whilst cheating on you and you being told by (half) your friends and family that you can’t leave her because she gave you the gift of children, you were punching above your weight at the time anyway and you might never get anyone better.

To be honest as long as words like "Boycott",  "disgruntled fans", "because of the poor way the club is being run", etc. or anything negative with our current plight are mentioned by the Sky Commentary team its a win.  But the phrase Boycott a crucial at least once.

If we also get a drop in bums on seats - for what ever the reason, be it true boycotter's,  the cold, back to school, first day back in the New Year, its doesn't really matter, as it  all serves the purpose and the phrase "Boycott" and the resqust to stay away has been used from the get go. and if its patchy then it hi-lights non attendance even better regardless of the actual numbers or reasoning.

I've said in a previous post that Sky will love the drama. Anything for bragging rights in the media world,  anything to add a bit of spice, or an edge to a match they are covering.

The fact the match is being televised is a bonus,  and if any of the above is mentioned it add's firstly a level of embarrassment to The Nepo Baby and KP, and hopefully a spark for other media to latch onto.

Didn't someone else say The Times had given the subject column width with the phrase Boycott chucked in there?

If other papers take up the narrative, even just to catch up the others its a win.

The media once there is a foothold is a powerful thing as Rodger’s used it to great affect to preserve his reputation whilst engineering his exit from the club and his meaty pay off.

Let's hope we get the same help from them, and if it does we need a second "Boycott" to keep the narrative flowing.

They could ignite the flame though esp if we have 400+ boycotting tonight solely down to this.

If we really want change then we need to do more than a lazy protest.

Imagine if all protests involved people staying at home lol

Very specific there? I hope it's not through personal experience.

Everyone has the right to do as they please.

I am not attending tonight purely and simply because i working away

The boycott IMO is going to be a total washout.

How can you gauge the success of boycotting with people who cant be bothered to go????

Genuinely think the attendance will be down by about 3k because of being on tele etc.

A boycott is NOT a protest because you cant see the impact.

surely turning up and pi**ing off is better as you can then judge the impact and the numbers of people leaving

Be about 400 -500 MAX who boycott which isnt exactly a success IMO

Go on LCFC, there are stacks of unsold tickets. Am I missing something here, unsold tickets to me is a general lack of interest, yes it could be tv or weather, but I'm assuming that these don't include current season ticket holders.

Whatever way it's looked at its generally a shit show with 1000's of empty seats.

Ah, lads, sorry to only just let you know but there is no point boycotting today. @stevostadium has already counted and only 400 people (lower than his early estimation of 500-1,000) have boycotted.

Everyone else is at home because it’s cold, it’s their first day back at work, it’s an 8pm kick off, it’s on TV, their mum’s goldfish is orange [delete as appropriate].

How are LCFC going to see impact tonight.

Attendance will be 25K +

Here’s a wild thought… don’t turn up? Then they’ll see the impact?

Saying “the board won’t notice the boycott because we’re all still going” sort of you know, defeats the point. You can’t say a boycott won’t work unless you participate in it. It’s like me saying my car won’t start this morning, without getting in and turning it on. Excuses.

Were on a massive sliding slope now but not turning up is not going to make a difference or help the cause is it?

If anything the value of the club will reduce for any potential sale.

Absolute bollocks that fan unrest will reduce the value of a club, but even if it did, wouldn’t that help a sale and therefore achieve the goal of a boycott?

Maybe, you know… poor ownership and bad decision making at an executive level reduces the value of the club more?

To be fair I couldn’t give  a flying f&@k if there is only ground staff and vendors there tonight or any other game.
you really believe the poultry gate money is relevant to the clubs future existence ?
nahhh they will just drop down leagues pay less money in wages trim the staff and carry on as a business

what is there 20k plus season tickets already paid for. A dozen exec boxes and corporation stuff   Yea ok stay at home and show them ehh

Of course it is, whilst in terms of revenue it’s  dwarfed by TV revenue etc, matchday revenue is critical for cash flow and managing and most importantly being able to pay for day to day running costs. Continued reduction in gate receipts and associated spend on food, drink and merch whilst not having a big impact on PSR it will hurt the club when it comes to meeting payment obligations to staff, suppliers and HMRC

I do think it should've been a boycott the first 10 minutes , would've been more impactful, also the chance of windmilling KPFC fans as people come in

amateurs, a real protestor would have a Cambodia flag instead.

(interesting how many people have opinions on how the protests and boycotts should be run, assuming you'll step up for organising the next one lads?)
