Ashley.

Turn the club shop into a massive JD or Lonsdale Outlet.

Take up 3 seats in the directors front row.

Hire Steve Bruce to get us out of L1 with Dennis Wise as DoF.

Hugh Jackman, just to set up Deadpool Vs Wolverine.

Used to teach at Uppingham school, so he has tenuous local connections.

Feel like there's gotta be a few hundred Spanish pesetas lying around at my parents' house somewhere.

We have some immutably good features.

32k stadium in reasonable condition, permission secured

State of the art training ground

Another training ground we could sell (there is a covenant sure, but we're well versed in legal matters now)

More name recognition than 98+ % of English clubs

Productive academy

Large one club city/county with a big catchment area

Decent sized fanbase

An hour from London on the train

Debt, PSR, deductions etc are temporary issues. A canny owner would turn this around fairly quickly. We have an owner that is dumb and not bothered and his dumb sidekick should have been booted years ago.

This. We would be a great buy if Top realised hes ruining his family legacy and sold it to someone competent. But he knows he should have sold us when we went up under Maresca, and never admits defeat, so won't sell.

I would take the Qatari state (joke(ish)).

If we do sell it won’t make a great deal of difference whilst PSR is in place.

When you consider we’d maybe want close to £500m for all the assets we own, then it’s a massive push for a Championship club. Then you consider you can a club like Sheffield Wednesday that are maybe available for £40m. Even teams like Southampton would be available for half of what we’d be valued at. You sort of think, are we worth it really?

If you are an investor, the sensible money goes elsewhere.

Just looking at who else has been after a football club though.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani

Quatari Banker and billionaire. Tried to buy 100% of Manchester United from the Glazzers.

Turki Alalshikh

The bloke has has kept Riyad Boxing season going for years. Sold his stake in Almeria, was talking to Bristol.

John Textor

American Investor. No idea what’s going on as he’s been sacked by Lyon’s holding company this week. Was previously looking at Derby / Sheffield Wednesday.

Red Bull

However they’ve acquired some investment into Leeds. The Red Bull logo would look better than the BC Game PAC Man though.

I think having morals is more important than which division a football team is in, but each to their own.

Already answered that to someone else

There were completely unsubstantiated rumours on here last year that the Mara family might be trying to buy us. I'd be happy with that.

I would be just as against Americans owning us as I would be for a middle-eastern petrostate.

That's just your opinion on him but each to their own.

It's not just his opinion though is it?

So we're looking for a smart owner who will pay what Top wants and then very quickly implement a canny football programme run by clever people, who they'll back with investment and leave to build a winning system on the football side while they expand the ground, swap the kop and the family stand and develop the hotel and retail park?

And will there be blowjob machines installed in the singing section?

An owner that buys out King Power and then appoints an actual Director of Football would be a massive improvement on what we're currently dealing with.

It's hardly a huge ask.

the man reaching for the stars, trying to preserve humanity, advancing the field of electric vehicles, protecting the climate, ensuring free speech and fighting censorship, taking internet to parts of the world that have none, working on technologies that allow paraplegics to move again, experimenting with faster tunnel production to ease congestion and generally encouraging human innovation, is somehow despicable?

That's all well and good, (bar the obvious issues with claiming that he's fighting against censorship) but... call me old fashioned, but I just don't want a n*zi running the club I love.

The racist, sexist, transphobic, islamaphobic, antisemetic, fabricating, far right, soon-to-be trillionaire lunatic isn't quite the happy go lucky chap you seem to think he is.

You can't invest in us to get us promoted quickly without breaching PSR.

We're a couple of years away from having a sustainable wage structure in the Championship.

We have a ton of legal issues pending that may worsen our position and instantly decrease our valuation.

We look like we may potentially go down before we go up.

A better title for the thread would be 'who in their right mind would buy the club?'

Don't think it will happen until we are either in the Premier League with a steady ship or a genuine rescue prospect, stripped of assets and leagues below where we could be.

Could they not invest though?

If a new owner came in and provided a loan to clear any debts to Macquarie for money already spent, couldn't they then do what KP have done previously and turn that loan into equity?

It doesn't change any previous PSR breaches and deductions due for those, but it would put us in a much better position going forward. We would not be using our parachute payments to cover previous **** ups, allowing us to rebuild the squad sensibly.

I did add a couple of extra lines but then deleted them as I didn't want it to veer off topic too far, but it seems the left care more about someone's subjective beliefs being "incorrect" than their objective actions being good.

I would welcome elon musk as the owner of Leicester with open arms, he can bring the kitchen sink in with him too.
