Bidding wars don't happen anymore. The player will pick where he goes. Clubs just have to offer enough to make us sell, not more than other clubs

Ok mate.

20-25 million. Have they got any young players that could used or loaned as part of the deal?

Kasey McAteer, on a season long loan, to sweeten the deal?

Sounds good to me. He'd smash League 1

Genuinely very surprised a club didn’t try getting this done early doors to avoid competition, anything below £20m is a great deal for Fatawu.

37 goals and assists in 95 games is a very good return for that price range.

Agreed. Maresca showed what he could do under the right coaching and guidance. Would be a good signing under Nuno at West Ham

Get us some Saudi money

Ipswich paid £20m+ for Jaden Philogene and he's was a very similar profile to Fatawu when they signed him (good Championship record, not too much Premier League experience)

£35m then. He scored from the halfway line. That's another £15m at least

They paid a lot more for Hutchinson too.

I think one key factor you are missing here is the situation of the selling club. We are in league 1 and  everyone knows we are financially ****ed so not entirely comparable.

Depend where we are after bring money in for the likes of Monga and El Khannouss, plus saving money on salaries on Winks, Vestergaard, Kristiansen etc.

I'd imagine we are in a better place than at the start of the window.

Knowing Turkish league, it'll be a poor offer

u wot? The big three in Turkey go through peaks and troughs, when they spend they really spend. They've had government assistance in the past to go absolutely bananas on transfer spending. It's been, at times, one of Europe's highest spending leagues.

We are in league 1, with a training ground that will cost as much to run as the income of teams in this league and we owe many millions to a bank. Unfortunately what you are describing there doesn’t really scratch the surface of getting this club out of the shit, and other teams know it.

Without having access to the actual figures it impossible to say what we can do and can't do.

Do we need more money in certainly, do we need to bend over and take the first offer I'm not so sure.

I’m not saying we do, but generally speaking we are in a much worse position than the clubs you mentioned as examples for what fee we should get, and that will influence the fee we do get.
