It’s another medal 🥉 but as someone mentioned previously there’s always something in the back of your mind when points are awarded subjectively, the build up to this woman’s freeski was all about Gu, what’s she won, where she’s from & how she switched nationality etc etc she was getting the airtime & you can’t help feel it has some influence on scoring.

It's on!

 

Canada somewhat heavy favorites (-135) and I would see this as a free hit, if they had played to their potential so far in this tournament.

 

NBC hyping the game to the skies, preceding it with a replay of the Miracle On Ice.  The whole country watched that game.  But I doubt a great many people south of the International Boundary have gotten up early to watch this one.

 

Hopefully this will be the only time we ever play when the two countries are in a state of cold war!
