They get another one and our players will sh!t themselves But that's my point, I wouldn't be sitting back on this at all I'd be looking to get fresh impetus further up the pitch and trying to establish more threat on the break to keep them honest. Bring the other new kid on. He's got pace for days even if he's raw. 1

He was constantly looking to get the ball forward into space and advance players. Looks like a team player already, unlike Mav.

lookwhaticando Posted 10 February Posted 10 February Change of shape at the back or sticking some square pegs in round holes?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 10 February Posted 10 February We’re definitely defending deeper this half. But I think the other obvious difference is because we’re trying to be more controlled with our attacks, they’re a little slower and we have less bodies going forward. That allows Southampton to get a better starting defensive shape and we don’t have as many bodies around the ball when we lose it high and those things together mean that the Saints transitional play suddenly becomes a lot more effective. 1
cat lady Posted 10 February Posted 10 February My blood pressure is sky high in the second half, just hoping we hang on
JimJams Posted 10 February Posted 10 February Hope we ain't gonna sit in though. You're inviting pressure. 1
beepee1984 Posted 10 February Posted 10 February Lascelles for Mavididi is not a good sub, it invites pressure and forces it into a 15 minutes of attack v defence with a defence that can't defend 1
