Can’t handle seeing Ayew in our starting 11s anymore. Surely at this point we have to question whether his contract states that he needs to feature every game. I wouldn’t put it past Rudkin to agree something like this.

But I think survival this season - and possibly our existence or at least not doing bankrupt and sliding down the pyramid - depends on Musaka. He’s very very good, and I’m not sure I’d be wasting him on a cup game.

Much as this board likes to lampoon Daka, he's been treated like shite for much of his time here. No wonder the lad can never get going.

 

Our rare better (ie average) performances this season have largely coincided with him playing. He works. He's got a good attitude. 

 

No, he's never a 25m player. But if we'd bought him from MK Dons for a million and paid him 10k a week, he'd be a perfectly serviceable championship striker in most people's eyes

Why do we look better with Daka? Because he has pace and work rate, he moved into channels and stretches defenders.

 

Richards, regardless of whether he’s a winger or not, has similar attributes to Daka.

 

Rather see Richards up top than Ayew.

Daka might be a complete goon most of the time, but atleast he has the pace to stretch the defence and give them something to worry about. Defenders would take marking Ayew every day of the week because ultimately hes just going to hold the ball up in a corner. Its like letting your grandad take to the field.
