I was impressed with the turn out, the banner etc. Brilliant to see it stopped outside the front of the ground and then to the main entrance. Joined in with it marching round to the entrance, saw a lot doing the same.

 

 

Funnily enough was looking out for the counter protest wanting change but keeping KP there.

I honestly don’t get it. You don’t just try and get an atmosphere going in a soulless bowl with zombified KP worshippers in it but you also do an excellent job with collecting food, supplies and money for food banks. Really weird behaviour to actively hate something that’s trying to do good.

Today was the first time I’ve been to a home game in a few years. I follow this club passionately from afar and I have to say, I was absolutely stunned at how placid our fans have become. I say become. It’s probably always been that way but there hasn’t been much to moan about in the past. I regularly see the posts on here about the “happy clappers” but I didn’t realise just how unwilling to speak out people actually are. The atmosphere in SK1 for the opening 10/15 mins today was excellent. But as soon as we started playing shit and Norwich got totally on top of us, the entire kop went silent (except the singing section. Fair play). I couldn’t believe how unwilling people are to pass any comment. Why aren’t fans angry?! I’m ****ing fuming. They should be beside themselves with anger. But instead, people just sit. Politely clap when anything remotely good happens and then quietly head home at full time. 
 

Top will never sell whilst 90% of whoever is in the ground is so silent.

Its exactly the same sort of people who say “everything is too woke nowadays” because someone called them out on being a bigot. 
 

It’s great that a younger generation of fans care.  It’s also great that people understand how to protest. That’s what rattles people like that; that people know how to mobilize and at least attempt to get change. The status quo supporters are terrified that they won’t be the most important fans down the line. Good.

I saw the protest on television in NYC as did anyone across America watching on CBS Sports Network or Paramount+.

 

The match commentator also spoke about the protest and was very aware of what was going on.

UFS are organised, visible, audible and passionate. Also calling out the section of the fanbase who do not like what they are hearing about the club and themselves.

 

The media is catching on to the real issues and that little corner of the Internet still insists it is the authorities, Covid, ungrateful fans and people not applauding that are causing this decline.
