Do you know what pisses me off the most? It’s this urban myth that KP in some way saved us. Where has this come from? We were in the championship, not L1 and a good few years out of administration as well when they rocked up so, please, defenders of our great leader, tell me how you’ve come to this massive re-writing of history?

Yep, I mentioned this today on one thread or another and used the same wording, rewriting of history.

People forget (or rather they didn’t actually support us then) that we had well and truly halted the slide from 2002-2009 with the promotion and subsequent 5th place finish under Pearson on our first season back. They then get rid of Pearson, back to back midtable finishes whilst spending big on average players were poor attitudes (sounds familiar right). Then of course, Pearson comes back, brings the wage bill back down and fill the squad with the right characters and we go up.

As far as I’m concerned, KP, Vichai and Aiyawatt, delayed our promotion by about 2 years.

Probably because the silent majority are just that. Silent. Never backing the lads. No chanting. Expecting UFS and the singing section do the work then complain that they aren't singing the songs they want to hear.

If people want Aiyawatt to stay then that is their choice. Just accept that it is his fault.

I’ve met a fair few leicester city supporters over the years who only seemed to take the negative things about the club and some who were quite vocally bad winners. They would only be happy if Leicester won and miserable if Leicester lost.

I've seen a few YouTube videos that defend the quiet atmosphere because “the crowd was naturally nervous”.

I can’t see how we’ll ever get to the point of a bouncing atmosphere in the stadium with singing from the majority of fans. It just seems to be a bunch of people waiting to be entertained and sad that 11 men (plus subs and manager), didn’t give them their demanded dopamine hit at the match. I don’t think King Power are capable of encouraging a decent atmosphere and the fan zone outside the stadium seemed to have been a damp squib last I heard.

*disclaimer: I’m pretty bad at singing myself and my onstage persona was pretty dour and quiet loo

I’ll be interested to know if the KPFC mob will show any introspection at all if we do go into administration. It’s unlikely but some surely do walk the road to Damascus, it’s just they can’t see it right now

They support King Power more than the club so I doubt it.

I've been thinking this. What IS their turning point?

I've no doubt that relegation, administration or financial hardship in the future would likely be blamed on the PL or EFL for corruption, being against us or punishing us for winning the league. It won't be KP.

After that this protest movement will get the finger for creating a negative atmosphere that caused the downfall. Rodgers/Cooper/Marti will also be the fall guys. Maybe even Whelan.

At some point you've gotta stop blaming the factors that aren't the core issue.

I know we've got a couple of KPFC on here. Could you tell us how low we need to go before you yourselves call out the hopeless mismanagement we've had over the last few years?

I geniunely don't think they have one.

They'll just take anything and shrug it off. Probably even admin, it will be a "we've been there before, it's normal for us"..... It's utterly bizarre.

I think even in league 1 and administration they'd mourn the loss of king power and continue to refuse any criticise with a victim mentality about the efl and prem

Why weren't you with the protesters, Bert?

Because I had my 6 year old lad with me mate.

He’s far too young to be going to stuff like that and understanding it all, unfortunately. Certainly didn’t fancy the phone call from school either asking why he went on a protest march over the weekend lol I did have plenty of questions about what was happening though.

I think the reality is there is a core group of about 250 of us who have awake to the severity of the situation for some time and it seems we will be the main ones who take action in trying to force change, despite being the minority we have no excuse not to continue with action and it should be as common as possible. at the end of the day we are on the right side of this clubs history. those who refuse to realise will never realise

Today was the first time I’ve been to a home game in a few years. I follow this club passionately from afar and I have to say, I was absolutely stunned at how placid our fans have become. I say become. It’s probably always been that way but there hasn’t been much to moan about in the past. I regularly see the posts on here about the “happy clappers” but I didn’t realise just how unwilling to speak out people actually are. The atmosphere in SK1 for the opening 10/15 mins today was excellent. But as soon as we started playing shit and Norwich got totally on top of us, the entire kop went silent (except the singing section. Fair play). I couldn’t believe how unwilling people are to pass any comment. Why aren’t fans angry?! I’m ****ing fuming. They should be beside themselves with anger. But instead, people just sit. Politely clap when anything remotely good happens and then quietly head home at full time.

Top will never sell whilst 90% of whoever is in the ground is so silent.

So vert true. As a fan of 60plus years I really don't understand this section of the fan base. This club is in the most serious situation in it's history. The financial situation is more serious than in the Linekar Headky bail out. King Power are ruinous

sad that kpfc choose to make character/personal insults rather than make a well constructed counter argument,

Just to be devils advocate, Both sides are doing it, “KPFC” “Happy Clappers” “Stupid” “Mental” are used in nearly every post

Bring back the clappers....

I still remember it...west ham at home in 2015...the clappers were introduced and we went on the best run we've seen...

Can take the piss going on about kpfc all you want but at the end of the day we won the league and went to to the champs league with those clappers with a better atmosphere than we've seen these days...

Certain fans slate the clappers but offer zero in return...
