I posted my opinion before Marti was sacked, a manager change wouldnt achieve much as the problem wasnt the manager.

Someone is dictating our managers how to play, we have had 3 managers now who are not normally complex passing managers, smith, cooper and gary revert to that style of football.  Probably Rudkin enforcing it on behalf of Top.

 

Like the cooper sacking form much worse after the sacking, one done without any succession planning.

 

Its like me and some others have said Top and Rudkin out.

Na, they're not telling them a certain way to play in this situation. The players are just cowards. No manager is going to get much out of this group.

Absolutely are, we have had multiple managers even say it, Enzo who is respected on here came out that Top directly told him how to play.

Made 3 predictable subs at 60 minutes, but did not change tactics that created absolutely nothing

Honestly I think he picks his subs before the matches and refuses to change plan - another pointless manager... made us harder to beat away so we may get 4 points away from home - what the hell is use of that if we continue to offer nothing in attack or at home

They're given a directive as part of the recruitment process that they have a style of play that matches our 'vision'. But Rudkin and Top are certainly not going into the training ground/dressing room, insisting on tactics and team selection that Rowett has to enact.

Call it what you want, but the vision is wrong.  Its a style of play imposed on managers.  We could hire a lump it up the pitch conference manager and within 3 games we will be playing possession.

If you was right we would surely by now have a manager playing a different way.

Does that fix the style of play and needing a million chances to score?

We cant keep blaming defenders for the style of play problems and inbalanced squad built by the DoF.

6 points from 6 games. It’s no better than Marti. But it was never really going to be was it.  We have garbage players, it’s as simple as that

He did get sacked by Oxford, let’s not pretend it’s some masterstroke appointment. 
Southampton, Norwich, and to a lesser extent Sheffield united have all improved significantly. 
The longer it was left the more the rot has set in.

The worrying thing is if the previous 5 games was our new manager bounce.

I agree with you everything you have said but I’m thinking short term. Either Vestergaard or lacelles has to start and Hamza should never play again for us.

Of course they are but we are hiring meh managers with even more meh players.

 

I put more blame on players. Effort is  expected. They've been playing their whole lives, no excuses for how they are performing.

 

Top and rudkin are absolutely the most to blame though.

Ayew is a strange one but not convinced he’s to blame for those three goals today. Pick your villain but aim higher for the cause

Expect he will now turn even more to experience, Begovic if he's fit and Lascelles will surely come in. We seemingly can't handle 3 games in a week, the players are gassed and too many bozo moments. 

 

Agree Ayew isn't the major issue but he has to be nowhere near the squad - make a statement to the squad about hard work being a necessity.
