These players will let him down it’s simple as that. We need to start preparing for League one now and hopefully bounce back at the first attempt. Similar story to Sunderland hopefully with new ownership

I think this group is so devoid of confidence that any appointment would need to be a worldie level manager to wake this lot up.

If you are a player who is playing for our club and thought they would be Premier League players next season, only to be on the brink of the third tier, along with huge financial constraints, a fan base thats turned on the club and a manager who was an uninspired choice, then we should expect what we are getting.

I cant see any of our players being beaming like cheshire cats when Rowett was appointed.

I`d get rid now and get someone with L1 in mind and a rebuild.

Whilst managers and tactics are hugely accountable you can help thinking this group of players just stink the place out. They really are an absolute shambles as a group. Struggling to find worse groups over the years.

Couldn't punch themselves out of a paper bag

Based on Nelson, Jakub and Mukasa’s recent performances, suspect he’ll go more for experience - he’ll be itching to get Begovic and Lascelles in, and suspect Reid starts as well.

I suspect you’re right . I don’t know a whole lot about Lascelles but I suspect he could be the defensive leader we are lacking and could really make a difference ( if he’s actually fit)

To prove it's the players who are letting the club down rather than the manager and his assistants.

Hence why he is playing the 'more experienced players'.

It is the players but genuinely what exactly has he done to change things. He knows what he has to work with but playing Ayew  again shows he’s learning nothing about the shit show he’s taken on. Basic average manager working with basket case playing staff.

At least try something different because what we’re doing now sure shit isn’t working.

Suspect manager had a plan to freshen things up after an hour. But at half time Leicester were already struggling some players such as Mukasa and Ayew were not really in the game. So I’m disappointed with game management but to be fair the players have to step us as well it is all too passive just no reaction or sense of urgency. Can’t see how the manager can turn it around this has been going on for too long not just this season

There's so much garbage in the squad, his hands are somewhat tied.

However criminal to not to start skipp and winks.

Hamza - Although Ricky has been terrible, he knows how to overlap and pass forward. All Hamza does is pass backwards.

Ayew - although pointless putting daka on atleast he runs. In all honesty we should kept Evans if we weren't gonna buy/get loan in

The defence is frankly just so poor at tracking, winning headers, the basics.

If we go down, it's gonna need a full cull and the problem is many of these are still gonna be on prem wages

..

I get the frustration but I’m not sure what miracles he’s supposed to pull off with that squad. Half the team isn’t good enough and the options on the bench aren’t exactly game changers. I agree though, playing Ayew again does make it look like he’s got no other ideas.

May as well of kept Marti on. Same tactics and same useless twats playing each week.

I said this months ago when everyone was gunning for him. At the time, Marti was merely the current scapegoat. Sacking him and bringing in Gary just cost the club even more money and has solved precisely nothing.

I said it at the time as well. Sacking Marti didn’t actually fix the real problem, it just gave everyone another person to blame. Gary Rowett has walked into the same mess with the same squad and the same issues above him. You can’t keep changing managers and expect miracles when the ownership and recruitment have been all over the place for years. Until that side of the club changes, it won’t matter who’s in the dugout.

Rowetts not to blame.The recruitments,

team are the ongoing problem. This is the fault of the senior management at the club

for poor appointments.

Shit signings by shit recruiters employed by shit owners.

What a  mess ! What a shame.

But we will still support the club especially

Once this bunch of shite as left us.

What ever happens we will  be back!!

Unlikely in my lifetime, sadly.

He had Makusa and James floating all over the place and left Skipp sat in the middle on his own QPR took over the middle of the park and dominated the ball after 30 minutes he should have tweaked it at half time and took Ayew off and put Winks on alongside Skipp. James as a 10 and put Makusa up top. At least Makusa can control the ball Ayew and Daka are both shit in different ways.

I agree I don’t think anyone expected miracles with this feeble minded squad but perhaps a change in style would’ve been a start.

You get what you deserve for playing Ayew. Hope he has a sleepless night tonight!

Like he's bothered?

It's hard to manage this club when you don't know what you're going to get from this lot. They can look like a completely different team from one half to the next - let alone game to game. People calling him a fraud for picking the same players who won a few days ago doesn't really make sense.

There are problems like the recruitment, lack of height, lack of physicality, lack of fitness, and that the spine of the team is so weak. The main problem is these players are so mentally weak. They have nowhere to hide now. I guarantee you the players were living in a delusion that they were better than this - and it was all other people's fault (like managers). Now most of them know it's on them. They really are lower championship players who've been carried for their career - this is their level.

And just like when delusion meets reality, they can't cope. They wilt under the slightest pressure - and even worse - if someone makes a mistake like Nelson today, they treat it as an excuse to not even try anymore.

We have to stop blaming managers and letting these players off.
