The 2nd half performance was excellent, I havent looked at the stats but if felt like we got to ball forward quicker, and more directly than we have in a longtime.

Some nice controlled possession but it had a purpose, rather than possession for possession sake, overlapping runs down the wing. I got a little bit of spark back yesterday.

Winks infuriates me because at times yesterday he was brilliant, great goal, I said to my mate why cant he be like that every week, why does he have to spend months being a dickhead to then play the 2nd half like that? Annoying celebration.

Tough game Tuesday, then other than Ipswich away we have to win 4 of the next 6

Looking at the fixtures of our relegation rivals. I think we are down , we may improve our form for the remainder of the past 13 games but we don’t have it in us to stay up. The players know it was a missed opportunity yesterday, other results are not going in our favor. Portsmouth are 6 points clear of us, Blackburn are 5 points clear of us. We need to win back to back games at a bare minimum to pull some other teams closer to us. WBA are the only team we can potentially catch up with, being one point above us, but their next two games are winnable: Charlton (h) and Oxford (a).

WHY!?!?!

This is just an insane opinion - I have no idea of the logic.

Skipp’s right footed by the way too!

Didn’t Skipp come on a half time against Sheffield Utd(could be against someone else) and he looked more assured then LT and VK, infact there wasn’t any glaring mistakes. He also did a decent job at centre half, in the following game.

I’m sorry but this is nonsense. There are 13 games left. All the  teams above us up to Charlton are catchable. Rowett has only been in the building five minutes and he’s already had a clear impact on the team’s mentality—and mentality has been our biggest problem this season. Our squad is higher quality than any other team around us—if Rowett can instil some self belief, that superiority will start to show. It won’t be easy but we can definitely get enough points from our remaining games to stay up comfortably.

Yes our squad is higher quality but we don’t show it, we fumble under pressure.

You think we can stay up comfortably I doubt it mate, Rowett won’t keep us up, I do think our form will improve but it won’t be enough to keep us up.

We need about 50 plus points to stay up. I just don’t see it happening. West Brom will pip us to survival.

West Brom are a worse side than us, as they’ve shown over the course of the season. They will sack Ramsay at some point but I can’t see them finding a replacement more suited to a Championship relegation scrap than Rowett. Turning around teams that fumble under pressure is Rowett’s specialty—he’s done it before. A few weeks ago, Stoke would have 100% won that game after getting the late equaliser—we’d have folded. Yesterday, we went looking for the winner and should have got it. That was after just three days of training under the nee manager. I think you underestimate the impact he can have when he has more time with them.

Current manager dont help there case, lacks experience. Strange appointment, dont expact he will last.

Very strange. Rowett was available at the time and perfectly suited to their requirements. Oh well—their loss is our gain.

The second half yesterday felt like a team that the fans can get behind, even more encouraging is that Rowett extracted that performance out of them after that shambolic first half.

It's gonna be a difficult few match weeks where we might not get any points, I just hope the players stay on his side and we see that level of application at the very least, they were clearly told a few truths at half time.

To be fair, 1st half against Southampton felt like a team we could get behind as well.

I liked Rowetts post match interview though. No bullsh1t, and clearly identifying issues but in an upbeat way. Was getting pi55ed off with Marti's interviews were it felt he was watching a completely different game.

I do feel more confident though. Im not sure about Middlesbrough but it we can be difficult to beat there and even eek out a draw, confidence will start to improve.

Any team can get a result in championship games. Rowett know this.

Who's position would you rather be in at this point? LCFC or WBA?

I would rather be away at Charlton than away at Middlesboro

However if they don't better our result on Tuesday then yes they are in more trouble than we are!

I think it's more than West Brom involved Chalrton and below could be brought into the scrap to stay up

Watching the highlights back then, are we sure that's not offside? Cisse seems to flick it back to Wilmot...

Yes - offside and VAR would have dealt with it.

Didn't look like he touched it for me, but maybe I haven't looked closely enough.

We seem to not quite get the rub of the green either lately, which only compounds the misery. Then again, we score from two shots that are barely half chances and we miss the sitters, so I probably shouldn't complain about luck.

There's definitely a touch from Cisse, off his head top

It's now looking good for you to stay up. WBA are very poor going forward. We didn't even have to get out of 2nd gear against them. They even had the ref helping them as much as he could in the 1st half. Sakamoto had a player go straight through him and the ref bkew for a foul. He then booked Sakamoto and gave them the free kick 🙄

You now have a manager that will get you points. It would be nice to return the favour tomorrow against Middlesbrough 😁 Oxford and ourselves have shown how to play against them. Don't give their midfielders any time. They're not that good in defence or up front. Their GK is very poor. Just hit the ball over the top of their midfield and they let you go all the way. Even Oxford were very unlucky against them hitting the woodwork twice.

Good luck 👍
