They are not going to have a clue who to appoint. This is going to take months.

Bournemouth already have their new manager even before Iraola has left, but despite relegation being a possibility for months I bet they don't even have a shortlist of potential managers

Not sure but can guarantee we will spend all summer arsing about

Starting pre season with no manager and having our inept DOF make transfers which the new manager ultimately won’t like

This disjointed pre season will eat into our main season

Rinse and repeat until King Power **** off

You are literally Bristol City's twin club.

It would be nice to have a Manager we like again, so Big Nige would give us that boost at least.

I get why people prefer to roll the dice and have a new face with seemingly endless possibilities, but do we really trust Top and Rudkin to get that appointment right?

If Nigel is healthy and motivated, I think he would be a good choice for us in League 1, and at very least, start setting standards for our players again.

He would have made Winks pee himself this season after a well deserved rollicking at half-time.

He's been on holiday, but it's time to bring him home.

Player/manager: Jamie Vardy

Massive disconnect between the club and fans......not in management roles but getting Kasper, Wes, Vards, Albrighton etc involved in some capacity to set standards at the club, in the dressing room and playing for the shirt.

It literally all needs to go back to basics

This feels so obvious it is maddening.

As fans we don't know what goes on behind closed doors and those people could all be bellends or thick as two planks, but surely there's a role they could be playing (other than in the cringe video before games and nostalgia panels).

Biggest question is do we have the people at the top with the mettle to deal with this early, get moving now and work all summer to put things right? Do we balls.

Biggest humiliation will be when we sell our training ground to Forest

I don't want to see any legends tainted by coming in to this circus.  Not NFP, not Fuchs.

In the case of NFP it wouldn't work anyway.  His was a right time and place appointment.  He has done precious little since and has had poor health.   Always a legend but let's look to the future and leave his legacy intact.

Apparently McCarron was in the ground last night. I didn’t think he’d stick around. Pretty sure this wasn’t what he was promised in interview….

Agree.  That would be rock bottom.  Especially when they buy it for peanuts.

He's got plenty of time to search for another job lol

I have a friend who is a Bristol City fan and they all absolutely love him.

Did a good job at Watford as well

On 19 July 2020, Pearson was sacked with two games remaining in the 2019–20 season. Watford were seven points adrift at the bottom of the league when Pearson took charge, and three points above the relegation zone when he was sacked.[93][94] Following Pearson's sacking, Watford went on to lose their remaining two games and were relegated.

And unlike Rudkin, he’d probably be able to find one!!!

I can’t see Forest wanting to train at Belvoir Drive.

Having Playergrave, I mean Seagrave in L1 is utterly absurd. Perhaps it will become an abandoned curiosity like Noel Edmonds' ill-fated theme park BlobbyLand.

It won’t be abandoned. The women’s team will move there and parts of it may be mothballed while we’re in L1 to cut down on running costs. Belvoir Drive will be up for sale.

If Nigel wanted it, I think we could do a lot worse. He'd arrest the slide. Could look to move him into a DOF role in a couple of years. I think the replacement needs to be that kind of character at the very least.

It was more of a joke really.. but yes probably so.

I think, depressingly, our manager search will rely heavily on what Brum do. Martin has been at a few of their games, there's noise Davies will leave at the EoS. I reckon we end up with one of the two.

I don't think it will be Martin, but I can absolutely see them going for Davies.

Either are better than Rowett but that’s a very low bar.
