Don't know why Leicester haven't gone for Ballard (if he is interested) as he is a known quantity in the EFL and we will end up spending the same if there is a grain of truth in this. Having said that the team is crying out for a big striker so maybe there is a plan here.

I’m sure the price I’ve seen for this player is a maximum €1.7m so less than £1.5m. Whereas the price for Ballard is allegedly around £6m, with clubs chasing promotion to the premier league putting bids in. I would be very surprised if we’ve been in with a serious chance.

He’s also on the smaller side as far as strikers go, and I think the squad is desperate for a bit of height and pace which  Bristric (at least based on a couple of YouTube clips) seems to offer.

There are probably 6m reasons.

I want an ego on my striker. Not the work rate thing but the best strikers tend to need an ego

Davis Keillor-Dunn is the one! A great scoring record at our level, Hourihane knows him from Barnsley days and he'll be cheaper than Ballard (still £4m, but that's the price band we should accept, for a free scoring striker).

I think we need a 6ft + striker

I can't see us spending 4m on one player.

Well, he's only an inch off 6ft+

Yes, but Ballard is being quoted as £6m.

Who I don't see us buying.

Unless we can somehow get 10-15m in for Souttar, Faes and Mavididi.

I’m not sure if they’re missing any lads, but he started against Liverpool for Wrexham playing left wing.
