If there is any truth in this at all, then an organisation involved in property would be more interested with outline planning permission for a hotel and concert/other activities venue, so owning the entire site.

Of course the long term benefits to the club could then be lost if the income from those developments don’t flow into the clubs coffers.

They would logically take the decision to build those first and leave the stadium untouched as it doesn’t need expansion while in the EFL

What issues were there?

Tight fisted for the sake of it. While yes, they did comply with financial rules, focusing purely on saving the pennies by paying nothing on wages and transfers, at the expense of the pounds from being in the prem (he got them relegated twice) is its own form of financial stupidity. It's like quitting a 6 figure job for a minimum wage one because your commute would be £4 cheaper per week.

Well we're in the same league with possibly  a worst team .

If you had the option to buy Burton Albion or Leicester City and you could easily afford either who are you choosing?

Well your right  about choosing  us but the debt is another thing to consider.

Discussion from a long time ago but can anyone remember what the Belvoir Dr land was worth? That could certainly be of interest to property developer owners.

Belvoir Drive has too many covenants and sharing agreements to be of interest to a property developer unless it was a low price. Seagrave is more viable but will need change of use permission however talk in the property world is that the club has been inviting proposals. How that translates into investment in the club seems unclear.

It’s a complicated site to get planning permission, many restrictions, altho with the drive to increase house building maybe the political appetite will be there to ease them

Saudi Arabia look like they're taking a step back somewhat from their sportswashing policy. They claim the war in Iran has forced them to reevaluate their priorities. I did think when they took over Newcastle it was only a matter of time before they won something. But they don't seem mega bothered.

The Newcastle take over was pre PIF buying the Saudi big 4 n all which seems to be occupying more of their concern

It really isn’t as binary question as that is it?

Pitch it another way, if you had the chance to buy a business that’s lost £71m last season and has seen their income probably reduce by a 3/4 after that, or one that’s lost £8m and hasn’t seen their income levels significantly change.

If the buyer has a bottomless pit of money, and is quite happy losing an insane amount on day 1, then they buy us, but why how many do and would?

We’re left with Tweedle Dee and Dumb

Rather that the Saudis - would stop supporting the club if we got taken over for sports washing.

Either way we stuck with them, which looking at where we are, is much worse.

Unless the nepo dwarf actually puts money in the finances don’t add up let alone promote next year. Forget sportswashing, we’re staring down the barrel of administration.

We have to be the most self deprecating fan base in world football. We're the 6th most successful club in the country this century ffs and people go on like we're Burton Albion.

The club is so badly run it’s more like a school team

If you had the option of debt ridden Leicester City who are losing 10's of millions a year, or say Bradford City who are solvent and their owner has said he would sell for £10million and in very little debt, who are you choosing?

Dumb ****s still think it’s better than the Saudis like we aren’t used for some sort of sport washing. The only difference is they’re ****ing you and giving you nothing back.

This tinpot fanbase will end up with chesterfield and county and genuinely deserve it.

Depends if I back my self to turn the finances around. Then I'd own the 6th most successful club of the century rather than one that's languished in the 4th tier for most of it.

Is this actually still a Leicester forum? I've got people trying to convince me "Burton Albion" and "Bradford City" are more attractive proposals than us.

The club been run so far into the ground. It’s going to take a very long time to put right

Due to size of the City and it’s loss of a decent Rugby League Side, Bradford are a huge sleeping giant

With outline planning permission for a substantial regeneration scheme that if tweeked from KP’s plans could be a nice money spinner for an investor

If he’s making a full takeover, then the local property person could be clewes at Derby. He’s Derby through and through but he definitely bought them because he wanted the land around pride park to develop and I don’t think that side of it has gone to plan so far.

We already have full planning for the sort of thing a property developer would want to achieve.

We also have a fan base that will regularly fill out the KP if performances on the pitch were sorted.

We have some academy prospects, who if can fulfil their potential, the fans could really buy into.

Sorting out the boardroom is a must. Still unclear if the new tech director will allow this, but if we can move to a better data driven model a still believe that we have the right foundations for someone who wants to invest. We are known all around the world (everywhere i travel they love our story). With the right people behind us we are a very marketable club.

Sorry, just can’t find this acceptable - our owners are largely inept but they’ve not done anything like this:
