People aren't emotionless. If your customers heckled, swore and booed you every time you presented your work to them you'd feel demotivated pretty swiftly. In theory the amount of money they are being paid should soften the blow but let's be realistic that's not how it is.

It's two bad seasons for us but for the youngsters who are getting their first shot and the new signings it's game one.

No but if i consistently performed badly my customers wouldnt want to pay me and would tell me in no uncertain terms that my work performance isnt good enough and they would have every right too.

I keep repeating myself but the wider context is that the entire future of this club hinges on these players performing and getting results. The time for patience is over, standards need to be high.

Apart from the odd wum/idiot/prankster nobody would call for Martin to be sacked at this point.

I think (based on his career thus far allied with our incompetent owner/CFO) he will be a failure but it's inevitable he will get at least 10/12 games too many.

The hope is that by then we have a new owner lined up and we can look forward to a total reset.

Fixed it for you. Always a pleasure.😇

Gotta give the tw@t atleast 15 games.

Clubs ran shockingly which we all know, no decent  manager is jumping up and down to join us this is as good as it gets unless we are all really deluded thinking we can get a premier  league  standard manager.

This is a rebuild of all rebuilds.

I dont even think it's the low point yet.

so we should write off all the wrongdoings of the board and certain rotten figures in the squad that have placed us here - the anger and abuse should be directed at the board predominately but if okoli cocks up for the 100000th time or if faes and mavididi carries on with his usual shite attitude or mccarthy fumbles it in the 6 yard box and concedes I will be livid and the players will hear it and there isn't a single thing wrong with that

The only players on the pitch on Saturday who played in previous seasons were BDCR, Thomas, Skipp, Okoli and the injury hit Souttar plus Choudhury off the bench. The other nine that featured had nothing to do with that position. If the likes of Braybrooke or Alves walked up to you and said ‘why are you booing me?’ what would you say to them?

ill back the youngsters all the way, ill chant for them like everyone else but they too must realise how much shite we've had to deal with over the past 4 years and how little change we've actually seen so they have to realise there are fans like myself who have deep issues with their squad members and we have to set high standards im sure if they have such an issue that Thomas is getting abused they can cry into their caviar in their gucci tracksuits at the sea grave spa and hotel

It is also important to remember that whilst LCFC means so much to us, it is only football. Anger and abuse are strong emotions.

is it not fair to be angry after watching your club go from a European semi final, fa cup win and prem win to 3 relegations in 4 years and the verge of administration as we scrape a draw against a glorified league 2 side

I'd say it's sad. Anger I reserve for stuff that really matters. I'm determined to try and enjoy my trips to the football, however hard that may be. Towards the end of last season there was a bloke sitting a few seats to my left who was just giving everyone dog's abuse for the whole game. Make no mistake we were playing appallingly, but it kind of made me think if this activity is making you so miserable, what's the point of going?

ill agree to disagree and im not gonna question anyones level of passion or how they respond to the state the clubs in but personally I go to every game wanting to experience a last min winner an absolute belter of a goal and general success but when you consistently see such little effort from the players and consistent significant failings form the board then I will get angry because im seeing the thing I love die and wither pretty much

The board deserve what the board get.

As McCarthy has been here for all of one league game of give him a chance. Perhaps try and lift the more limited players in the squad before lamenting their inevitable mistakes. A few passable performances and we might be able to offload them after all.

The worst thing that could happen is we get promoted under Martin.

Unless the club is sold, that would mean Top gives him a 3 year extension and we’re stuck languishing in the champo with him for aeons

Look at it the other way.  Epic Mismanagement and repeated mistakes is causing the slow death of your club from Premier League trophy winners to league one dross.  There is zero accountability.  Rudkin still in situ, the disinterested players that got us here still being picked... What are you supposed to do?  Sit on your hands?   Clap them off?

No.  They (the club, the players) need to feel uncomfortable.  They need to hear some fury, they need to know that this is unacceptable.

If the young lads have an ounce of common sense they’ll know any boos aren’t meant for them.

Oh do shut up. I've been KP out for ages and been happy to sing Rudkin out etc at home games. Not happy clappers at all.

But to say we deserve this is complete up your own arse bollocks.

A large portion of our fan base DO deserve it.

The consensus may have changed now, but 6 months + ago when there was still time to act to halt the decline, half these people were calling the others ‘entitled’ or ‘UFS Twa*s’ or refused to protest. Or tried to turn the reasons for the low turn out in the boycott game as weather related.

These fans have blood on their hands. Many on here have it too back from when backing Rodgers to the hilt in autumn 2021

You miserable bunch of defeatist, whining, downbeat scum. Please  don't come to any of the games. Our upcoming young players don't deserve to hear your abuse. COYB.

I don't get why we are being told that the best way to carry on with this situation going forward is to clap and smile and ignore all the wrongdoings - its alright on Saturday when we lose were gonna sit in a circle hold hands and sing kumbaya

Really? You think they have no self doubt whatsoever having never been first team regulars before?

If you’re part of a team that doesn’t win and is booed you’d have to be an ego maniac to not think part of it’s for you. Why would you think it’s only for a third of the players who played?

I honestly think Russel Martin NEEDS to be given time. As big of an ego he has, surely even he would have taken on board what his critics have been saying from his previous jobs.

He has had that taste of Premier league football. He'll know the standards that have to be set in place to get our city back there.

I'm not sure we can get any one of the same ilk currently. He can't be sacked anytime soon. We definitely still need to make our concerns known. However we also need to make sure our support positively outweighs our grumbles. Promotion this season is SO important! 💙🦊

Nothing good will come from booing these lads and creating another season of toxicity. We either all band together and be the 12th man encouraging the boys or continue helping create our own downfall

He will be in prison if he gets us relegated with his fancy football with defenders that can't pass two yards

Out of interest, where do you think the club would be if every fan were like you?
