Horrendous pass, loses his balance playing it is even worse

Spot on.

A Braindead moment, like you say, he was off balance but was in control of the situation.

Take an extra touch and play a simple 5 yard pass to the keeper.

I’d have been annoyed if did that in a Sunday league match.

If Otchere does the same in the next few games I’ll be really excited, i must admit looked ready and physical, fighting to win the ball and get the better of the centreback at the front post.

for me there is nothing more exciting than having a promising young striker in your team (in terms of football)

This is what impressed me the most with him. That type of movement in the box is instinctive, some pro’s struggle with it throughout their careers. For him to have that type of movement at his age, shows how clever and advanced he is at seeing the game. Very Vardy like performance from the young fella today.

Just watched the highlights.

I would absolutely love it if Alves becomes the main man this season. He has got the tools he just needs consistent game time.

How did Carr look? I just remember him being rapid

Carr was very good. Probably our second best player behind Alves yesterday.

Alves, Carr, Aluko, Wilson Brown, Page, Otchere all impressed yesterday.

Evans, Hutchinson, Braybrooke were fine but suffered from being in a weaker side. Nelson probably the weakest recent academy graduate of the group.

The usual suspects Okoli, BDCR, Skipp, Faes, Coulibaly all rubbish so expect them to be the ones starting the season.

This season feels like such a good chance to get these guys involved. I know you have to have a certain level of experience but we really do have some really promising youngsters for the level we’ll be at.

How good would it be if we saw a Page, Braybrooke & Alves midfield 3 at one point?

As it stands you would hope that that's our starting midfield next season as it's our strongest.

Choudhury was pretty good yesterday but I think Braybrooke would be better as a 6 as he's more suited to Martin's style.

Think if somehow Skipp ends up being our starting 6 next season then there's a decent chance we do three relegations in a row. He just kills any forward thinking football.

Braybrooke misses a bit of physicality though. Kind of feel him and Alves may end up competing for the same position.

Skipp can get in the bin - worse than any of the academy midfielders.

Carr really impressed me - i had never seen him before even when watching a few academy games. Very pacey and skilful. Was doing things no other wingers could do, where we seem to always usually cut in.

I can’t remember which academy game it was I watched but Carr looked rapid in that game kept beating the fullback every time

Braybrooke not being physical is a myth. He's small but Kante was also small and similar to Kante he's agressive and knows how to use his body well.

He averaged 2.5 tackles a game in league 2 last season, Winks and Skipp combined averaged 3 so defensively he's an upgrade on our starting midfielders from last season. If those two can play the 6 for us then so can Braybrooke.

Like you say he was one of the best midfielders in league 2 in terms of defensive contributions.

However I would like to see Braybrooke, Alves & Page in rotation for the two 8 positions. It’s good Sammy can play as a 6, but his best work will come from the 8 position where he can support our attacks and unlock low blocks.

I would like us to sign a holding midfielder to play the 6 position.

Some very good performaces yesterday, especially in the first half. Everone sees
the game diffferently. For me Alves, Aluko and Page, apart from his corners, were
outstanding with Aluko the best but he academy boys on the whole looked good.

I hope that the sale of Monga is not gvoing to be repeated  and we keep the most promising of the academy players.
We must not squander this talented group.

I don't think we'll lose any of these players unless martin decides to loan them out as I don't believe any of the Big teams view them as potential PL / money makers. Motsi seems to be the only one.

We shall see then, although any comparison with Winks if flawed anyway. L1 will be a step up i think - fingers crossed.
