No.

He's on circa 35-50K (relegation deduction in mind - possibly more), & I'm sure LCFC won't let him go without his salary covered in full & a hefty loan fee. I'm sure of it.

Preston can't afford that. They don't have a pot to piss in.

Also (sorry to go on), but I think he was available for loan Boro would have him snapped him up by now. They (I think) can afford his salary & a good sized fee.

I think your certainty that they won't let him go without his FULL wage being covered, might trip you there.
We're absolutely desperate to kill our own wage bill.

It may be attractive to have them even pay two thirds, if we could get someone in on a quarter of what he's on as a replacement

There were rumours. But yeah, probably bullsh!t.

I really do not think there is a chance he goes on loan, what would be the point. If we wanted rid we would drop the price tag, clearly people within football see something we do not, as a lot of interest seems to be about for him and we seem to be very deadset on 15m as a price point

Small loan fee and cover all his wages then why not.

Braybrooke or Choudhury playing in front of the back four with Chaplin, Cullen or Page pushing on. Throw Alves in there as well, maybe even the elusive Golding. We'd be alright.

Why would you have Golding in?

Couldn't even pick him out of a line up let alone know how good he is. He's 20 so about time he either showed a bit and was good enough to be a depth choice at this level or moved on.

Skipp is one of those players who won't stand out at any level. Even on the local park he'd Huff and puff but ultimately end up getting given the run around. He's useless. Doesn't score doesn't assist, isn't quick, isn't strong, isn't a good dribbler, isn't a great tackler, nor a good passer. He's the worst signing we have ever made in terms of outlay and return. Then outlay was the majority of KDH money and the return is back to back relegations and hardly one decent performance. Get him gone even if it's some of his wages freed up. If he keeps Page out of the team this year I will riot.

Absolutely this.

Complete b@stard who needs to go.

In league one under scmp rules this is the only season we can make a loss and it not affect us in the future. So we just got to get rid whilst in league one asap of skipp

Is this true? What is it in the rules that states this? (I'm still trying to get my head around SCMP...).

Ai explains it better than me😂 i believe it to be true

“League 1 SCMP only checks wages against turnover — it doesn’t test losses at all, so selling a player for way less than we paid costs nothing on the books this season. The Championship still runs on PSR, a three-year rolling loss test, which does count that same loss once we’re back up. So any player we’re never getting our money back on has to be sold while we’re still in League 1.

Maybe I'm not as smart as AI, but does this not just mean that we could sell him at a loss this year, but if (if!!) we go up it'd hit our books as a PSR loss next year?

OK THANKS.

Technically what was said was a contradiction hence the question.

The Championship no longer runs on PSR—it has adopted SCMP from this season.

He must just be really highly rated by some inside the club for us to be asking for so much then. Seems to be a gap between the way clubs including ours see him and the way we do
