About time the Swiss made it to a QF at the World Cup. Such a solid tournament team.

Feel for Colombia, but not clinical or brave enough.

I’m disappointed in Colombia tonight, looked leggy.

Still, it’s a shame to see them go out because usually they’re a likeable side. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a good match involving Switzerland.

I can't think of the song lyrics reference, but it's in my memory somewhere

Something about Switzerland in football that’s so incredibly vanilla

A decent standard side that doesn't seem to achieve much in tournaments, like Belgium.

It wasn't that bad to watch, but R5 commentaries are mostly dull anyway.

really thought Colombia would go far, definitely would've had a better chance at beating Argentina than Switzerland do in my opinion

True but  remember Messi got a last minute winner when they met  in 2014 so won’t be easy .

Makes you wonder if the World Cup is rigged for certain teams - the pull on a shirt that ruled out Egypts original second goal is fine if you apply that to Argentina pulling shirts the other way

clearly it isn't

With VAR there is a better control of the narrative as they can conveniently decide when to / or not to intervene. Messi in the tournament drives more viewership and revenue.  It was even more blatant in the last world cup.

For the tacticians, it must've been great to watch. Two very well set up teams playing it safe, canceling each other out, with only a few goalscoring chances.

For the average and neutral football fan, it was tranquilizing.
